Default What is your biggest accomplishment thus far with your sites?

Just curious what your biggest accomplishments have been thus far? (exclude your income) What obstacles have you ben able to overcome to get you where you are.

Mine would be the amount of things I have learned, confidence now to try new things and keep going when failure can be a huge part of the entire process.

I've put in a lot of work without receiving any revenue. I think that has got to be my biggest accomplishment.. my patience.

I learned by trial and error. I still think I've got lots to learn as far as keyword conversions.. SEO etc.. but I've come a long way from when I started.

I would say that growning my current forum to over 7,000 members since June 2005, after my first forum membership and all data was hacked/deleted by some one I trusted.

Teaching myself SEO and managing to rank my site #1 out of 10 million pages for the term "No Deposit Required" last year.

I have to rank the fact, that despite the obstacles thrown at gambling all the time and the twists and turns it takes to run a portal site, I'm still sane. Well almost!

Staying the course despite being pulled in other directions. It drives me nuts after a while. Maybe I am already nuts?

I discovered that I could provide for myself. I could start from scratch with nothing, no knowledge, no money and make more than I ever have in my life. Even if my comms go to zero, I know that I can do it again with something else! Confidence.

    The knowledge gained...

I can't get down to one single thing. This biz has taught me about marketing, search engines, web design, etc... And the fact you cant do everything by yourself.

Aside from that, I'm particularly proud of my transition to casinos... I seriously nearly gave up with the size of the task ahead - it is like starting over again.

WTG matted, I'm glad you got into the casino end of things. Although you may outsmart me in searches, I hope we are not targeting the same lol.

For me, my challenge is working around dial up. I feel like I'm in the Flintstone age.

Other than that, I'm not telling what I most proud of!

Patience and perseverence are things I've been most proud of since getting into the business in 2005. I was making nothing for months, but I was learning everything I could to get better and gain more knowledge. It payed off about 6 months after my site's launches -- when I had my first 5 figure month from CPA deals that I promoted through a popular PPC ad company (2 more occurences happened after that as well). That was also done WITHOUT any incentive marketing, and I was limited to how I could advertise it on my Forums and newsletters, etc. It still stands out as the day I really felt like I "belonged" in this game with a lot of the established veterans and whatnot

walking away from a family business which was very frustrating and causing family problems. Its a multi-million dollar a year biz and as soon as I made enough to support myself .... and being called crazy by nearly everyone that knew me ... its now 7 yrs later and I have no regrets though many worries this will continue.

I gained a whole new respect from family members that at one time thought i wasn't worth the space I took up.

I owe all that to online gambling. Second is the friends I've made in this biz from all over the world .... people I'd never have known ... certainly not to the extent I know them now.

third is learning that people are people no matter from where. Being from the states I hope this is also learned from those outside my area because despite having a gov that is often times disappointing (to say least) ... I hope it is discovered by my friends and peers from around the world that not all of us (by any means) in the states support the BS that is handed out by our gov and that most realize we the people of the states are for the most part decent human beings as much a victim of circumstance as the countries we (our gov) impose our beliefs upon.

Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

No sane person in the world should ever judge the people of a nation by the deeds of its government. Having said that, I must admit that I am at a loss to understand why a substantial part of the US citizens is still very much convinced that their current government is doing good to the whole of the world.

A small piece of free advice... Never discuss politics or religion.

    Why?

In fact, we are always discussing both in this forum. Is it not politics, when we talk about UIGEA or gambling laws in other parts of the world?

Has religion nothing to do with the discussion going on in another thread about porn contents?
