Default What was your site like... In the BEGINNING?

    Hi guys,

This is directed to those whose sites have been up for awhile, and have gone through many changes since day one. I'd be willing to bet that most established sites barely resemble the original version, or even original attempt!

I'm doing a lot of research before I actually get into building my first site, and I'm having trouble keeping the "end picture" in mind while remembering that my first attempt isn't going to be perfect. I'm not even sure what angle to take with my site, but that's another post altogether (and, oh yes... I will get to that :)

    Thanks!

There's a thing called the "WayBack Machine" (must be from Austin Powers or something  ).

You can go see old versions of most sites here. (please don't look up mine. )

Ditto - Got2Bet looked like dog's leftovers when it was first started.

Fortunately, the Wayback Machine did not capture the earliest effort. It did, however, catch the first progressive pulldown scripts on the Net

Well, I can go back a year when Casinoglen was first invented. Zero knowledge of anything much more than html, using a basic portal from one of the affiliate programs. Trying to modify those portals to suit my taste was a disaster. So I decided to learn real html, (although I still have alot to learn), then I threw some basic cgi knowledge into the mix, and after I finally got serious about it all, I came up with what it is now, but still moving and changing a great many things, adding, subtracting, learning, trying to get new ideas, without plagiarizing anyones site. Then I found GPWA, on the advice of one of my affiliate program managers I might add, who told me many wonderful things about the association. I have already began receiving help from them on how to maximize my efforts. I can't wait to be accepted as a member so I can fully benefit from the group and their suggestions and ideas. Great job folks!
