When do you expect to be vaccinated for covid-19?

It is incredible but 2 months after second dose my arm is still with pain when I lift it sometimes.

I also started to have conjunctivitis after vaccine + my eyesight got worse during last weeks really bad + I have some small bulge in my mouth. 3 doctors said 3 completely different diagnoses. Indeed it can be whatever and very likely nothing connected to vaccine (I believe it can be also long covid outcome).

But it is what it is. At least I am not flying or going to crowds with respirator, but with a very porous facemask. Because the respirator was really killing my breathing. Flying 12 hours with that thing properly installed on head was a nightmare and I always got sick only from that.

I also got an EU covid certificate based on non EU vaccine. After a lot of travelling through Europe a German pharmaciy gave me that piece of paper. I hope it can help to someone (but you must have an EU approved vaccine). But 2 days after I obtained it, they stopped giving it away, because someone hacked them. Maybe they resumed since.

The worst thing I see about the vaccines is that this politicised nonsense is in most countries in a "compromise" situation, where vaccines are not mandatory but in fact without them one is a 2nd degree citizen. The vaccines either have to be completely voluntary or absolutely mandatory and enforced by force. This double-standard bullsht is what is destroying everything and causing that incredible amounts of people are in love with conspiracies.

I thought that there are 2 bad impacts of covid: health + economy. But the thrid impact: destruction of trust/social media imbecility/hidden totality (hidden is the important here, not the totality, because all states are by definition monopoly of force) will be the worst.

Hi, I am going to get the first dose next week. The company I work for organized a massive vaccination for all of the employees. It is very convenient, as you don’t need to go anywhere, just go to the office, as usual, and get a shot the same day.

This is not even funny. I bought a new phone and for some reason the compass does not work and also the aiming of the blue spot at Google maps is not moving and pointing to one direction regardless how I move the phone. I am trying to solve it for 2 days now.

I downloaded some software and it shows that magnetic field is approx 10x higher than it should be. I was thinking that either coins in pocket did it or I live in area with very high background magnetism or that crazy phone (Doogee S88 with 10K mah battery, so it looks like and weights like a brick) is simply interfering with itself. But maybe it is me.

Oh, boy...

Got the second dose (Pfizer) on 15 May. No side effects, except a bit of nausea in the first day after the first dose. No side effects whatsoever after the second one. A bit of pain in the arm, which went away in 2 days.

I should tell I am very allergic to many things (from pollen to mold). I am "cross-allergic", which means I have multiple allergies to multiple strains, which makes immunotherapy ineffective at my age. My only "treatment" is Claritine, which doesn't help much right away.

So I got the vaccine in special circumstances, under surveillance, in some sort of ER. So far, so good.

Then the summer pollen season started. For me each summer is more or less a bit of hell - it depends on my body and the amount of allergens in the air. But usually I get 2-3 weeks when I feel really bad outside (and sometimes inside), then gradually I can "process" the pollen in the right way so I can enjoy outdoors without too much of an itchy nose, swollen eyes, nasal congestion, coughing and trouble breathing.

This year was something else, something I've never experienced since I was a kid (and the reactions were much severe). June and July were proper hell on earth, I almost could not stay outside.

I "blame" it on the vaccine and while this might be totally unrelated, I have no other explanation. A somehow weak immune system helps allergic people NOT develop strong reactions to usual allergens. A boosted immune system will give very strong reactions. Therefore (and this is true), once you get older allergic reactions are less and less severe. When you're young, it's the opposite.

Right now I am after 30+ daily doses (one pill) of Claritine and the pollen season to which I am allergic is almost over, so I am finally feeling OK.

In late August starts the ragweed pollen season, so I'll see then. I hope it will not be that bad.

All in all, get vaccinated. I think it's worth it.

Thanks for the writeup. I am somewhat allergic too and I was thinking what happens to me with eyes looks like some strong allergy. Maybe you hit the nail to the head. Maybe all my probalmes were just an allergy. I have one thing to support your hypothesis. I just flew to South America where is winter and suddenly all problems are starting to be much milder.

Btw. I fixed my phone. There is an app called magnetmeter and it has a reset button.

My whole post can be resumed to: the vaccine did boost my immune system and at 40 I am having issues like in my 20s. There can be a discussion about the part of the immune system which is responsible for allergies and the one which is engaged in fighting viruses. Sure, they're different but medicine is not an exact science.

Another conclusion would be that the vaccine messed something up. And another conclusion would be that this year's pollen season (with all the heat waves and storms) was much worse than in previous years, and the vaccine has nothing to do with it. Reports about allergic people and probable after effects should appear in the fall, if any. Will keep an eye on the search engines - I prefer to not use anymore the terms "google it" or "googling" )

One thing important here is that I got maximum immunity from the vaccine just at the start of the pollen season (my own pollen season, June-mid July). So people vaccinated in January are on a different level. Well, who knows...

Had a place set aside with a month of food and supplies and went over to a friends house who was infected.
It worked. Spent two weeks in quarantine and had a low fever and the "covid toes".
I had my blood checked and I had plenty of antibodies so when the vaccine came out I decided to wait and see which is the best.
If I decide to get vaccinated I am in a good situation here in the US.
I can walk in tomorrow and not only get a vaccination but I can choose which vaccine I want.

I think at this point it would be best to just open up the US in full.
Let everyone know that in one month no more masks or lockdowns.
Tell everyone to get vaccinated now or own the consequences.

I can see the logic behind this in a way, though it could be argued that getting vaccinated and then a mild case of covid would be a better combo. That said, from what I've read being that you've now had covid, if you get vaccinated too your immunity will be boosted very significantly. And as you rightly say you're in a good position to have evaluated the vaccines.

I got covid shortly after my second vaccination (again a mild case) and I'm glad in a sense, as it appears to be unavoidable longterm and beyond whatever immunity I know have for a period of time, my body will hopefully be better prepared to face it or variations of it in future.

It is fascinating how we think we can evaluate a vaccine (unless I am wrong and most people are vaccinologists). Normal people can evaluate nothing. Just that with certain vaccine you can maybe go to place A today and do action B. Just maybe.

Everything is propaganda around it. In 1st world you can read studies how Pfizer yeah is the best. If you go to Latin America you can read, see and hear propaganda how Sinovac is the best (because China has interest there). I have not been to Russia but granted they say the same thing about their vaccine.

So we can evaluate as much as our poor visitors that go to affiliate portals and "independently" click on the top casino and they think they did the best for themselves and they will likely not even remember from which page they went there and how their brain was affected.

Inoculation seems to be progressing in the United States, but not at all in my country.


It seems that it is not safe to get the vaccine, but it seems that the severity can be suppressed.
I am fortunate to be able to inoculate this week.

Been double vaccinated since May 14th, but still managed to catch Covid two weeks ago. I'm assuming the vaccine reduced the symptoms as it felt like a bad dose of hay fever, with a few temperature fluctuations and joint aches thrown in. Also lost all sense of taste and smell which was an odd experience - only highly spiced curries and strong coffee could cut through, though even those were minimal.

Interesting to hear others talk about the effects on their eyesight as I've really struggled throughout lockdown with eye strain. Assumed it was due to more work on PC and Zoom etc but during the Covid 'episode' my eyes were burning and I'd get bouts of blurred vision.

Be interesting to see the final analysis of this once everyone has had it - some point in 2023 I imagine!

Had the second dose of Pfizer last week and felt reeeeeeally lethargic for the 5 days after it. Also, i suffer from certain food allergies and had a flare up (autoimmune) out of no where.. but who knows it's that's related.

I'm glad I'm double vaccinated, however now that everything is opening up here in the Uk, I'm still prepared that I may get it like fortunepalace mentioned.

There is clearly enough research done about the vaccines and I've got mine few months ago. Personally, I find it easier to be in crowded places and be less scared of contracting covid with severe symptoms.

Yesterday I got a 3rd dose, because I was leaving a country where soon 3rd dose will be de facto obligatory and I need to return there.

As before: I am sick. Cold chills, fever and pretty hard bone pain. Short of breath. Only mild headache. Just like covid or flu. Still it is not that bad as 2nd dose. All 3 doses were Pfizer.

Some comments here do seem to support a theory that for those with some with some sort of (maybe even mild) pre-existing underlying auto-immune or immunodeficient challenges, a vaccine dose can knock you sideways more than it might do to others. Although you'd think by now (if that was the case), this would be heavily reported and well-documented in the media....and it doesn't seem to be. Maybe it's just pot luck.

Although I initially said that I wouldn't take the vaccine, I reluctantly took my first pfizer shot last Thursday. The only symptom I suffered was a very sore left shoulder, which lasted a couple days. I'm booked in to take my 2nd shot on December 9. The doctor said that there was a likely chance that I'll have worse symptoms with that shot. If the 2nd shot goes okay, I might get a booster shot after 6 months.
