Default Where is a good place to see if online casinos are reputable?

So I'm not sure if this is even the best place to post this or not but it's the closest I could find.

I get emails quite often from online casinos I haven't heard of asking to join their affiliate programs (I'll admit I'm not well versed with online casinos so it's possible they are some what well known). My question is besides looking at the sponsor list here, where can you go to figure out if the casino is honest or if they are ripping off players?

I used to use wizardofodds.com but since they got bought out by an affiliate a while back I'm not sure if they are honest or if they are just promoting who ever pays them the most now.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

We always seem to get approached but lots of affiliate programmes. What I usually do is search in this forum to see if there are any previous threads that are useful. I have also found AskGamblers good too.

Agree very good too, reason I mentioned Ask gamblers first is we recently got approached by a company 'Winner Million' and found they were blacklisted on Ask Gamblers but not info on them on the Pogg.

Agreed... Since Ask Gamblers was purchased by Catena Media, the place is no longer (imo) a reputable resource. There's been multiple instances where bias is clearly visible. EG - money has overridden player protection.

While The POGG isn't perfect, rest assured it's pretty close. Duncan (the owner) is a straight up guy. The site also operates as a registered and accredited UKGC mediation service to players. I think that pretty much says it all right there.

    Edit:
You could also try LCB (latestcasinobonuses.com), also focused toward players, but Zuga is also a decent guy. They also own AGD, and have been busting/calling out casinos who are using pirated games.

You can also search through the forums and ask other affiliates what their experiences have been with programs that you're looking into.

One thing I use is a site's popularity. The more popular, the more critics on the www. The more critics, the more likelihood of getting fair gaming odds, hopefully.

The only knowledge that can hurt you is the knowledge you don't have.

Thanks guys, I'll check out the pogg. Sounds like that is easiest for what I was looking for.

There isn't a one size fits all, each webmaster has his or her own opinion, some sites react negatively to some Costa Rican brands but for US players that is where some of the best are also located, the best place to see how they are for players is casinomeiester, along with pogg if the brands are talked about well there they are usually good.

Agreed on all accounts, i interacted with zuga on several ocasions on several plains, member, fellow webmaster, user in that whale of a site i so much love, one of the people i respect and i think one of the nice actors, i would also say affiliateguarddog com/ is a great place to see what is what and make some good initial relations and choices trust me, when you spend time or money in content for a brand that sucks that can really cut into you motivation, most of us know only 1 in 10 is around after the first 12/18 months.

i'm skeptical of every site, at the end of the day we're all affiliates which means we're getting paid to have casinos advertised. So whoever pays the most usually has the best position or reputation, that is until they stop paying the most. It's all about the money, not about the most reputable in my opinion. So my advice is learn for yourself and if they pay you on time and a decent amount, run with it.

Devil's advocate here - just because they pay the most doesn't mean you're going to be paid the most from them.

For example, Affiliate Program A may pay you twice as much as Affiliate Program B, but Affiliate Program B converts 4 times better than Affiliate Program A. So you'll receive more commission being paid less from Program B in this scenario.

Also, a lot of affiliate programs tell you they are paying you 45%+ revshare, but if you work it out you're actually only getting ~30% after they deduct all their fees.

And some are even far, far less. Wont name names, but 1 program advertises 40%, yet when you crunch the numbers, actual commission percentage paid is in the ball-park of a poultry 5.89%.

Shameless plug for Rewards Affiliates... if they say X%, that's what you get

DeckMedia are also like this, they say X%, you get exactly that!

you're right Renee, but I was careful not to say "promise to pay you a decent amount" so i meant actually pay you a decent amount. I know this takes time, but you wont know till you try and conversion is definitely important. But again, how will you ever know conversion unless you have experience working with them?

A reputable online casino has a professional worded About Us page. Its site's design is responsive for mobile. Its customer rep. center replies to players within a day. It's software's RNG is only maintained through a third party. The loss from players is not the main source of income at the company that runs it. (I just made that last one up, but would not that be reputable!)

Cheers. I suppose the way you worded it could come across both ways. When I see "pay the most" I assume you are referring to highest revshare etc as that's what most affiliates look at.

you're right I can see why you'd think that. It's a minefield out there though, that's for sure as some affiliate programs who are meant to be excellent, don't look after all their affiliates and others who i've read have been bad have always paid me on time so why should i stop using them because someone else says they're bad.
