Default Where to spend casino marketing Budget?

If I had $5-10,000 to spend on a one year marketing budget for an online casino where would be the best place to spend it? Are there major portals that allow banner ads? Are there any traffic buys or PPC engines that can produce measurable results? Also, does anyone have any experience with affiliate software? Which is the best? Vendors with references please feel free to reply.

    Thanks,
    George

    Welcome to the forum williamg...

Spend the next few days reading all the public threads here and you will get a pretty good indication of many of the affiliate programs.

I also have a listing at
    http://www.casino-affiliate-world.com/alpha_list.htm

As far as the top recommendations, we all have our favorites...and some site seem to sell certain software better than others. Most of my sites do better with Playtech, but recently I have a few that are starting to show good results with Microgaming. I can do ok with RTG on some sites but not others.

Join some good solid programs, and test...test...test....

As far as the ppc's...well most of those have dried up pretty much...the ones that are left that take gambling ads seem somewhat rampant with fraud...although their are definately some second and third tier engines emerging to fill the void.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

    Default Re: Affiliate Programs

Thanks for the advice, I should have phrased my affiliate question differently though. This company owns the casino, and wants to set up its own affiliate program. So I wanted to know if any other casino owners had good experiences with different affiliate tracking software.

On a related note, which affiliate programs give the best stats - which casino affiliates are happy with and believe to be honest?

As far as the stats go...geez...

Some may disagree with me here...but Overall...with "ALL" things considered, I think playtech Stats are the best for campaign and player tracking.

The RTG Properties addition of the SubGid, and some Microgaming properties adding the cid codes will go a long ways toward better campaign tracking. There are also a few proprietary software vendors that offer solid campaign tracking such as Casino Coins with their bn= codes. (The more detailed our campaign stats are and the deeper we look into them, the better we can understand where and why are visitors our converting the best, and can tailor our creatives more effectivly to drive even more business to the properties)

As far as specific Affiliate Software, you would be better talking to Casino Operators, and although a few do browse the forums here on occasion, the visitors here are predominantly Portal Webmasters.

Affiliates just want as many and as detailed stats about the visitors we send you as possible. When we have players download, make sure we know that, as well as when a visitor signs up as a guest player, and most certainly tell us when and how much they deposit.

Keep detailed track of how much money is owed to us, and if there is a bonus or chargeback that is gonna cost us even "ONE THIN DIME" make sure you show us where that dime went in such a manner as we will understand why we paid that dime.

And ABOVE ALL ELSE!!! Be honest with our stats, and pay us on time!!!!

There isn't much you could possibly do to hurt yourself more in this business than screw up the stats or not pay what is owed.
