Default Who’s your favorite poker pro?

My favorite player is most definitely Kelli Mix. You probably have not seen her yet, but she is coming up strong and fast in the ranks of professional players. She also wrote one of the best poker rulebooks.

Would go with Daniel Negreanu, the beats he got at the high stake TV show, he still acted very professional. A few sour mines, but nothing compared to the other ones. That is Class!<o></o>

Mr. Doyle Brunson. No one comes close in class, knowledge, and all that he has been through. There are so many great players but in my book, he is tops.

I gotta go with Freddy Deeb. Guy rarely goes all in like a donkey before the flop because he knows he can outplay you post flop. He's skilled in mixed games. His trademark hawaiian shirts are great...
Anyone remember that poker show on tv that hooked up the heart meter to the players? Phil Gordons heart raced off the charts. Negreanu was steady. You put Freddy on that show I bet you can't tell the difference from a big hand or watching someone elses.

I have to choose my very good friend Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott as we were born in the same town together...............not actually together......lol

We both come from "HULL" in Yorkshire were I did state the Affiliate Conference should take place rather then always in London.

    Dave Ulliott<?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = SKYPE /><SKYPE:SPAN style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(C:/DOCUME~1/user/LOCALS~1/Temp/__SkypeIEToolbar_Cache/e70d95847a8f5723cfca6b3fd9946506/session/GIF/offline.gif) !important" id=skype_name_injection_1_1 class=skype_name_highlight onmouseover="event.cancelBubble = true; event.returnValue = false;" skypename="daveulliott"> <SKYPE:SPAN style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(C:/DOCUME~1/user/LOCALS~1/Temp/__SkypeIEToolbar_Cache/e70d95847a8f5723cfca6b3fd9946506/session/GIF/arrow.gif) !important" id=skype_name_arrow_1_1 class=skype_nh_arrow_hid skypename="daveulliott"></SKYPE:SPAN></SKYPE:SPAN>

Dave "The Devilfish" Ulliott is a foreboding character, eyes hidden behind dark shades and a menacingly calm demeanor. Large rings decorate his fingers as he passively observes you from across the table. Ulliott is more bite than bark, though, with his notoriously aggressive and unpredictable style of play.
Ulliott got his start playing cards in grade school, continue playing cash games throughout his life until in the 1990s he won so frequently that finding a game in England became difficult. Thus, in 1996 he moved to Las Vegas and entered the tournament scene.
Easily one of the most recognized faces in poker, Ulliott is also one of the most successful. With countless major tournaments won, Ulliott has become a forced to be reckoned with.

If I could change anything in the poker world: Corporate sponsorship, also never to go broke again!! I would like to pass these wise words on that were passed onto me by my late grandfather. He took me to one side , he put his arm around my shoulder and he said "remember these three words and you will never be broke(stick em up!!)" Also I would really love it if Anna Raphael (the world number 2) were still a single woman.

Geez... this is really super hard for me, but let's work our way through it:

Daniel Negreanu is my first and most obvious choice, as I am more a small ball player myself. I am also very friendly while I trash talk the tables, so we have a lot in common. Plus, I met him in Vegas last year and he was the most down to earth guy ever.

Mark Seif has to get a mention from me as well. His wife, Jennifer, was my original affiliate manager at Income Access/Absolute Poker, and we stay in touch. Mark is a really nice, approachable guy whom I've chatted up at two poker academy classes.

Doyle Brunson has to get a consideration as well. I mean, the man wrote the bible (for poker) after all! LOL! He was super nice, even though obviously exhausted in Budapest. But he still gave me an interview. Heck, he welcomes all who came. What a great human being. Besides, if you don't like Doyle, you probably don't like puppies either... or lack a soul... LOL!

But if I had to pick a favorite player... to spend a year with on a deserted island... well, I gotta go with Clonie Gowen! I mean, just look at her! Rowr!

Daniel Negreanu is also my favorite. His friendly demeanor and light banter is refreshing to see. I love his small ball style and the crazy range of hands he plays.

Doyle Brunson would be my number 2 choice - he's a legend!

Yeah, Clonie's been looking a bit rough the last few pics I've seen her in.

I know EVERYONE is crazy over Daniel, but I find him a bit too preachy for my tastes (I haven't read his blog in awhile, but he was always spouting something uber Christian in it, I don't want to read about religion man, I want to read about poker!)

I think Daniel had an issue with Chris "Jesus" Ferguson because Ferguson is an Atheist and Daniel felt it was disrespectful for him to call himself "Jesus" because of this.

Um, hello? Other people gave Ferguson the nickname because of his appearance man.......jesus!

So anyway, I think one of my favorites would be Sammy Farha, I really miss him on High Stakes Poker, he always made the games more interesting.

But there's a ton of pros I've met in person (i.e. haven't met Sammy) that were approachable, friendly and had great senses of humor and came across as just good people.

Right now any of the final 9 that bust Phil Ivey out, we have rather a lot of money on Phil winning the WSOP.

Sorry Phil I hope you get busted out....
