Why can't I format my SD card?

I used kingston SD card for 3 months. But last week I plug it in my laptop and the Norton AV alerted me. I formated it but it fails. What is kind of this problem?

Disable Norton and try it again. If it fails you may have damaged the unit.

I think that this is clever spam. It's his first post on a gambling related forum and he's talking about his SD card and how he can't format it. JC replied with a valuable comment and no response.

I like to point these out because it demonstrates how effective these spammers are.

HIs website (in the link) is new but has a copyright date of 2003 plus they claim copyright by citigo which appears to be a falsehood.... definitely a spammer/scammer.
