    Default William Hill will close you’re account if you are promoting offshore US sites

    No surprise as they are active in the regulated US market. Just the most recent reminder that regulators are clamping down on illegal gambling sites. Continuing to promote US offshore/unlicensed operators means that’s the only partners you will have, the days of having it both ways are over.

    I know hats an unpopular opinion here but it’s proving more true each day.

    Their email is saying not on same site. Pretty stupid mixing the two on the same website anyway. Non story.

    TONS of affiliates promote licensed UK brands to rotw traffic and geotarget us traffic to offshore brands. No more playing both sides.

    Betdaq actually closed my UK affiliate account on the back of this some months ago. I had a couple of legacy pages that still had Bodog listed. TBH they pretty much just used it as an excuse to kick me out as I'd have pulled the content instantly.

    I'd always been responsive with them and kept to strict T&C conditions in the UK market but they still decided on a zero tolerance approach. The account was only making £1k-3k per month so no biggie but use it as an example of what can happen.

    See the above as a warning. It's just not worth it.

    Yeah, the e-mail doesn't apply to me but I received and read it and bloody hell, they cannot write for crap can they? WH are so goddam talentless at whatever they put their hand to - including writing a simple e-mail. It was NOT clear at all, and WIDE open to interpretation legally.

    WH = clowns again.

    The WH message was a bit fuzzy to me. US offshore/unlicensed operators
    Does it apply only to companies that are complete without a license? Or is Curacao-licensed operators involved too? What do you think?

    Any Operator that accepts US players and isn’t licensed within the United States to do so.
