Default Is William Hills business practice acceptable?

Please read these 2 threads at CasinoMeister:-

Then vote as to whether you think the way they treat players has any place in our industry where we are striving for transparency, fairness, responsible gaming practices and credibility with the governments of the world.

Basically they are offering a free, no deposit bonus chip which requires players to deposit after wagering so they can cash-out everything.
    That's fine. But then they are;
    a) Trying to coerce players to deposit more than the minimum.
    b) Applying a new bonus to the deposit, trapping players into WR for a bonus they did not want.

    Thanks.

From what i have read over there at CM i have to say that i dont like the way people are being messed around. Seems they are giving people the runaround in an attempt to grind them down and get them playing away their money rather than withdrawing!

Regarding offering more bonuses and tempting them to deposit more than required, well, thats a fair enough tactic! After all, people dont have to deposit any extra and we all want people depositing dont we! I tried them out a couple of days ago to review the casino and the free £30 and when i spoke to live chat, they too offered me a further bonus if i deposited a little more than the minimum too.

Why not? Its no use to us or them if players are simply going there for the free money and then running! We would all be moaning if no attempt at player retention was made and i personally dont see the tacticts as too bad.

Oh and i lost the £30 too, useless article that i am!

KK, there are so many problems out there, Bill Hill know they can get away with letting this bunch of rogues do what they do for a while, then come along later, apologise, claim no knowledge, claim feigned disgust, and all will be good going forward.

    Point?..
Past disgressions are so easily forgiven, so they know they can do what they like for as long as a piece of string is.

Take Virtual. How many chances you see them get? Nowadays, if you say something bad about them, the aff manager offers you out for a 1 on 1 session down Costa Rica way KK.

Take Golden Palace. Invented "bonus abuse", supported by Kahnawake, who are supported by Ecogra, who are supported by Casinocity, who run this board.

Take Partypoker. Ran rigged software, admitted it in not so many words, they sponsor the late night sport on channel 5.

    Take 888.
    Take Grand Prive.
    Take RTG, Playtech.
Take progressive slow payouts, if ever.
Take Tusk shorting poker players 5 million.
    I could go on.

From small to large, someone is taking the rise somewhere operator side, and players and affs still give out trust like it's going out of fashion, and get shafted for thier troubles.

Today it's Billhill. Watch out for nonsense from Bodog in the future.

    We shall see.
