    Default Winter or Summer Season??

Today is a rainy day in my country and has been dull for the past couple of day. Right now I am wishing for sunshine and warm weather but I know for a fact that once we get warm weather, we will be wishing for winter weather!!! This is confusing but we are never happy I guess. Its also carnival weekend and the weather ruins everything for those who spent a year planning their floats. I am not a big fan on this festivity but I do pity those who have dedicated so much time and effort. This event should definitely be held in summer.

I would prefer summer if I had the luxury of spending it near the beach.

What would you prefer, Winter or summer months??

    Regards,
    Rebecca

I love summer. No heating bills and no cold related illnesses.

Summer 100%. Today is the last day of summer here and it rained yesterday and is raining today, but with 25-30C.

This is the most depressing part of the year. I never pray for cooler weather. From when it starts to get to low 20s until it starts to get to low 20s again, I am praying for hot weather. I just hope our winter this year is like last year. It was always around 20C last year. Was a nice change from 14C.

    Summer.
Although, after 4 years with non stop summer, I found it nice to experience the sort of winter of London.
Now i'd be happy to go for a skiing session...

But definitely, i'd always chose SUMMER season for my day to day life!

Summer summer summer. I would move somewhere warn year round but I would be afraid I would not get any work done. I do the majority of my work on my websites during the cold months.

I liked someones comment earlier. I too love the snow for some nice deposits! Every time it snows deposits seem to increase.

My parents have been in Florida for 5 months now, and all they tell us when they Skype is how nice the weather is. I think it just adds to my depression of how cold and wet it is here.

I love summer. After what feels like months of rain in the UK, I am literally crying out for the sun. I have booked to go to Florida in November and can not wait. I don't see why everyone has a "summer" holiday in the UK and goes abroad when we actually have sun!?! Why not have a summer holiday in England and have a winter holiday when it is wet, cold and miserable and fly somewhere sunny?

I like all apart from Autumn, that season depresses me. I love the warm summers but also cold winters, but being in England the weather is **** so we never get either very often. Would love a summer like Spain then a Winter like Norway

I just love this scenery. We dont even come close to this in my country so this is like a post card for me. I cant imagine working around such weather conditions though... still its simply beautiful. I must be thankful for what i am used to. Although I cant spend my summers near the beach, its a blessing to have warm weather for a good solid 8 to 10 months of the year.

This is true - The weather is crappy! Although I don't mind autumn. I love the colour change in the landscape before everything completely dies and falls away.

If we had winters like Norway the whole country would fall apart! Even now with a small bit of snow its panic stations and cripples rain networks, roads, schools etc. I live in the country and its a nightmare to try to get out when it snows. I think our road is low down the priority list!

Snow is great when you don't have school age kids / kids in daycare and when you work from home so you can sit indoors by the fire, with a nice hot chocolate or glass of red wine and watch how pretty it is. From indoors where its warm and dry! LOL

Was hot again today. Went to the beach again. Went Monday too.

    Getting pretty dark now

The first month of Autumn is nearly over and it's still 30C during the day.

Went to climb Mt Pulag this week end, 3rd highest peak in the Philippines. The way up was SUMMER, but once there, gosh it was freezing! Never been so cold in the past... at least 4 years. Yep, colder than London!!

But it was totally worth it. Can't upload photos, watch the video instead my friend shot

Totally different world up there Louie...my dad can relate. He has been up Kili and made it to base camp Everest and a few other mountains and although its pretty though, he always says that he can see the world from a different angel at the summit. Something I could never do, not even if I was paid....just not my cup of tea. I suppose I didn't inherit this gene.

True Rebecca. I'm not much of a mountain person, but the panorama up there was just stunning. Definitely made me reconsider the way i see hiking.
Although it was also a tough experience because i went totally unprepared for the cold. Having a big sleeping bag is very important. I just could not sleep, i spent the night doing push ups and steps outside our tent every 2 hours to get warmer haha. Worse night i ever spent.

But once at the summit... Just wow...

I've never climbed a mountain like that and I too don't think it would be my thing, but I am a sucker for a view.

When I was in cape town and went to the top of table mountain, the view from there on a perfectly clear day was one of the most amazing views I've ever seen. Out along the water line was a thin gap then a layer of haze. It was beautiful. I can only imagine climbing to the top of a mountain and seeing even more.
