Wordpress 5.5 version upgrade issues
- jQuery errors with the new Wordpress version 5.5. Apparently jquery-migrate will no longer be enabled by default which made a few plugins, themes and functionalities in the admin-panel become unresponsive.
- Apart from this, some older hooks were disabled causing deprecated errors in the UI
- If possible, please hold on the wordpress update to 5.5 version so all developers can provide solution for these deprecated functions including Flytonic team
- In case you have already upgraded to wordpress 5.5 and got into issues, we are working to provide the fixes for all themes and plugins
- Temporarily you can use "jQuery migrate helper" plugin for wordpress as well. Otherwise it's 2 php files, the jQuery-migrate.js and the deprecation.js to suppress the errors
- For any custom themes or plugin upgrades, you can't use the default theme upgrade version

Most theme developers use WordPress beta releases to make sure their themes are compatible prior to a WP version upgrade.

The previous owner of flytonic would have been all over this, using the beta release to ensure his themes and plugins do not break. Seems the new owners are NOT WP savvy, which is a troubling concern.

I wondered why my pagination broke, I spent an hour going through all my recent code changes before realizing it was my upgrade to wp 5.5, as it still worked on my staging server. Fixed it by downgrading back to 5.4.2, I'll deal with it another time as they have changed the way pagination works in the latest release and my theme isn't supported.

All Flytonic themes and plugins are already updated. There is no auto update in theme so you need to login to flytonic account , download and replace the theme/plugin. Try backup of full site before upgrade. If there is any issue, report via ticket . Some issues were reported due to conflicts caused by third party plugins or other issues like custom codes. But we have replied to each customers with the root cause and resolution. Can't reply everyone here so raise ticket for any issues, get reply within 24 hour.

Sadly there is something really not right with the company any more, they just tried to charge over double the cost of the theme to add back in something that they took away.

Well , first of all apologies that you had bad experience with us and we value you being our customer since 2014. As a courtesy , we have provided you full refund. I checked your purchase history which was in 2014 for the theme you mentioned above and we have discontinued it for couple of years with new theme and features. I remember we have recently added the same tag based shortcodes in casino review plugin along with export/import features based on customer's request. We take feedback occasionally to add new features to themes but it gets rolled out in phases rather immediate update for individual requirement. So we may include it in our next update version for all for free. But for any immediate changes or customization, you are free to work with your web developer if you are not happy with our price.
