WordPress XML Sitemap Plugin

Anyone have a good plugin they are using for making an xml sitemap in wordpress? I have looked at bunch of them and none of them will create just a simple xml sitemap where you can exclude tags, categories, archives etc. All I want is a simple sitemap which will let me exclude some things, or one that will obey a robots.txt file where I can disallow tags, categories etc.

An example of what I want is just like the sitemaps you would build at www.xml-sitemaps.com I tried to put an example below but I guess since it is code it wouldn't let me.

this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/

yoast is what you need, you can do pretty much everything, exclude authors, tags, categories.. modify titles.. descriptions etc

OK thanks guys - I will check these out. On a slightly different topic, the sitemap I am using right now is generating an entry for my homepage with both a slash "/" and without a slash at the end of the domain. Ex www.domainname.com & www.domainname.com/

I have never seen that before. Do you think just a bug in the plugin or do I have something set up wrong that it thinks they are two different pages?

That plugin creates a sitemap that has sub-sitemaps which I do not want. I use to use that plugin on all my sites but ever since one of tthe recent updates and it started doing that sub-sitemap stuff I quit using it.

I actually finally found one that generates a simple sitemap just like I wanted. If anyone else is looking for a very simple xml sitemap plug in, look for the one that is aptly named "Simple Google Sitemap XML" - and it is simple. It does have options to include categories and tags, modification time and priority if you want that - I personally do not.

yoast seo plugin is better lot of features inbuit also sitemap one of option in it Try it I sure you like it
