World Cup 2014 - Affiliate progress report, how you dong so far?

As said in my first post the numbers are good and I have a nice increase in traffic but the most traffic was at the beginning of the world cup. Now the traffic line goes a litte bit "down" not too much but we see it. I think that there will be the traffic peak on the day of the world cup final. Currently the day of the first match of Brazil and Croatia was the best day.

Still doing great FTD numbers but flat earnings. Let's hope new EPL season we start to see these players come to life.

My FTDs have really gone down now, lost a bunch of positions though so it's hard for me to directly compare the start of the World Cup to now. Revenue-wise last month was pretty average in the end, this month so far had a bit better start but obviously the betting activity is going to die down once the world cup ends.

How did everyone get on following the final? Winner bets on Germany/Argentina settled. From what we can see a lot of people piled on Germany to win the cup after that semi-final against Brazil. Took a few thousand dent in our numbers today! We've got several thousand active players, so I imagine that's a fairly good sample and fairly representative statistically.

From Coral's POV, the number of matches that went to extra-time or penalties was very helpful.

Certainly a lot of people backed Germany after their thrashing of Brazil but the majority of punters tend to go for the 90 minute Win/Draw/Win market as opposed to the outright market. So the traders were delighted to see so many of the knockout games go to 120 minutes or even penalties

Got to batten down the hatches for a quiet month now. Gives me time at least to launch a few new projects though without watching football all the time instead of doing my work.

Not been a bad month, most punters are expected to be UK football based, so will hopefully see some inactive accounts pick back up. Not long until the Premier League season.
