Being an affiliate is a great challenge and a dynamic scene, where everyone wants to get "easy" money in no time. But.. those who are persistent in hard working and never giving up, sooner or later succeed.
Patience and motivation are the keys to success and to conquer new mountain peaks. In our case affiliate payments or bigger commissions.
Good luck to all the participants in this forum and wealthy 2018!!!

That is very well said. You must never give up on your dreams and what you believe in too. I don't know what more I can add to this statement

Interesting that the first initial balanced commentary on the subject matter appears to have disappeared on being buried. I've worked in and around the sector for over a decade and have offered balanced advise on this. I believe the industry peaked a number of years ago (from an affiliate basis).

Worth noting that this thread was posted 5,5 years ago, where some people questioned the decision of becoming casino affiliate. I know people who started their first sites after 2012 and made 7 figures since. It may have reached its peak, but there is so much more free resource out there today. Many markets are for sure oversaturated (but still achievable to make it there), I still believe there is money to make even for new affiliates. Twitch is an example. I saw a guy with 150-200 avg viewers who made 7000 euro in a single month from new depositors. You're risking your own money while livestreaming though

Yes but ,It's worth it if you have full knowledge of the gambling and affiliate marketing otherwise I see it difficult.

Yes, you certainly have to have good knowledge of all of these things and you need to keep on learning new things, so that you can keep up with this fast-paced technology and world that we live in. Especially in these times. The world is always changing and it's getting more challenging to keep up with it all. who doesn't love a challenge, hey?

    Hi Anthony,

I think that if you feel that market is saturated for affiliates, why don't you invest on building your own Online Casino. I am a representative of Asia Live Tech (I joined GPWA to learn more from other members). Hope you can visit our website to learn more. Just my two cents. Thanks.

I think that if you start with high expectations from the beginning then you could be disappointed and become disheartened quite quickly, and if you are going to give it a go you really need to put a lot in to see the rewards. It could be months, even a year or so before you see any decent numbers come in so you have to ask yourself, can you put in that much effort and keep going even without any rewards for so long?

But, yes i do think anyone could make money in affiliate marketing with the right knowledge, determination and a bit of luck.

I started my own site a few months ago and have so far managed to get only two signups. (Of course this does not get me above the minimum threshold for any payout from my affiliate). I have realized this will take time before I even break even.

How many clicks on your banners are required, on average, before you get one depositing new client? Is it hundreds, or even more before one new guy signs up? I am curious to know how far I am from actually being able to buy myself a cup of coffee from this business

    Thanks

Usually, i need 15 to 40 uniques visits for an FTD on my productive sites. Depends a bit on GEO´s. But i do not promote bonuses or try to avoid if possible and i focus on max 4-6 brands. I would like to reduce to 2-3 but it seems complicated.

One very right and interesting thing about being an affiliate - PATIENCE. If you do not have it, there are far more other boats and destinations.

Sounds both encouraging and discouraging. But I guess if you are serious and patient enough, there is some hope

I've always, from day one, promoted MGS. I discovered quickly that focusing on a handful (4 - 5) of brands, worked well for my portals. Granted, the stand alone downloaded (MGS) casinos available these days, from programs who are STILL trustworthy, are imo in short supply.

So, now I mainly promote Rewards casinos. Like eenzoo, my conversion stats from visits to FTD are similar.

If however your promoting 'no deposits bonuses' etc., then imho, your conversion stats will decrease substantially. Frankly, marketing to 'freebie chasers' is a waste of time. It seems they hardly deposit, and if they do, then it's very small amounts. Why work hard, when you can just as easily target players who will make decent deposits - maybe even score a whale or two

Is it possible? Of course it is. There are many sites that will be launched this year and rank in the top positions in the next few years.

Is it easy? Of course not. It never was. This thread is 6 years old and people were asking the same questions as the newbies are now. So stop wasting your time and asking such questions. Instead get a plan of action and then actually put in the work

Every other day I'm getting emails from casinos telling me the regulators are giving them grief so I need to change this banner and that banner and no more bonuses for UK etc... it's a bit of a wild time right now but it should settle, my suggestion is if you're gonna do it, go all in.
It's a sacrifice though don't be fooled, you're looking at a full time job in itself. Have 1 good website and make it your baby, not 100 random sites as you will end up biting off more than you can chew. It's a sacrifice, prepare to sleep 4-5 hours a night in the first months of development and manage your expectations, I had 1 deposit in the first 2 months. don't give up.

This is a good point, I made that mistake and had too many sites on the go, whilst I had ok traffic and regular sales it was nothing to write home about and difficult to expand as the work involved just wasn't worth the return, sticking to one good website and working to grow it is definitely the way forward.

I agree with quality over quantity. At one point circa 1998 I had over a dozen websites, and it wasn't worth it. It can make more work, with no guaranteed return on investment. Less can be more, and its generally also better for time and asset management. Now we only have 6 websites and they are working well, backed up by some modest social media presence, as well as visibility in the news media and industry. Hope this helps.

Greg, have you updated any of your sites to be mobile optimised?
Only ask cause looking at the coding on mediaman.com.au, it's not.

I reckon you'd be missing out on a lot of mobile traffic, given that site's age and content.

I slept much less every night, no weekends, no freedays for over 10 years.

If anyone expects that he has to work intensively only few months and then it will be almost a passive income than he will be surprised.

Now I sleep finally in the nights. For a brief period it was alone, because my gf/wife packed her things with part of my money, because "her whole life was just seeing my back while I was working". So now it is perfect. I sleep. I have only nightmares about my employees. Every ******* night. So in the morning I am more tired than in the evening.

Certainly people can choose a bit different paths. Like you can do a lot of caffeine or cocaine. You will ruin your body, but maybe speed the things up Or you can become an alcoholic and the stress will be gone (along with liver and brain in long term). But there is no way you can get lucky in anything you do online and you will pay for every cent you get. Competition is hard.
