Donna and I bought our own gifts this year, mostly all new clothes for "the trip".

I bought one for myself while shopping online for hubby - an Espresso/cappuchino/latte machine.

It's semi manual and I just love it. I am so loaded full of coffee you have to scrape me off the ceiling!

Not all that expensive and worth every penny.

I was shopping at tjmax and couldn't resist 2 emeril lagasse pans. One chefs pan and one frying pan. My pans are all mismatched and nothing great. I love watching cooking shows and I now feel 'chefy'.

Plus, they make a hell of a weapon. This lady has no fear. Cracked me up! The dangers of Jack Daniels!

Beware, criminals: Emeril Lagasse is helping Ellen Basinski, 70, reload. The famed TV chef is sending a new set of cookware to the Elyria woman, who used a Lagasse saucepan to fight off burglars in her home this week and whacked one of the intruders twice on the head. The actual pan she used was turned over to police for evidence.

Hubby and me treated ourselves to a new pool table for our bar and entertainment area and a dining room suite, as we have recently done some renovations on our house, and are busy furnishing it.

Hard to followup the Top Boss house there. I got Jenn the new Forever gift set at Macy's (smelled it in a magazine ad and liked it)

    Cool thread.

I didnt buy myself anything major at xmas but i have just been packing our apartment up as we are now relocating yet again this time to Malta and i said to wife that we have spent an extreme amount of money on clothing som eof it i think i have worn once or maybe twice since i bought it so this is my plan, only buy clothing in th next 6 months that i really need as in i rip my pants or new socks what ever then with the money i dont spend on new shirts ect i will buy a new watch but not any watch.

For about 2 years i have wanted to buy a Rolex Submariner http://www.rolex.com/en/index.jsp#/e...rochure/cover/

I love this watch i think looks great but its not cheap so i feel if dont spend on pointless shirts and tshirts i can justify the purchase.

    Thanks

    Shaun

    Nice looking house topboss

As for your comments Shaun, it's definitely wise to put money aside that would would otherwise spend on unnecessary items for something special - you will appreciate it much more

I bought my wife some nice gifts (just a couple!) but we made this Christmas about the kids (my brother, nephews, cousins' kids, neighbours kids, friends' kids etc).

    It's all about them really

P.S My wife got me some lovely things but my favourite was a reindeer thong! I might wear it at the awards in London

LOL, Thanks for that But for what its worth - I haven't always lived like that. It has been a tough struggle and many many hours of hard work to get to this point and there was many times I nearly gave up. Perseverance and desperation won over in the end

Gorgeous! It's a good feeling when you obtain what you work hard for. Congrats!

I remember buying my house 10 years ago after working 3 regular jobs. Now if I can only get nearer to the beach...
