Xmas is upon us...

Anyone crazy about shopping for presents?

I've just bought a couple of things for the wife from amazon - that's my kind of shopping

We will be heading out this saturday though to borough market (interesting foods) to stock up on festive treats, and then heading down to see the tree in trafalgar sq - so this weekend will be very christmassy! Oh and the wife has already put up the tree...

We're playing it pretty low key this year. So much happened, good and bad.. but normal life stuff. At my place my wifes family is coming over, so I am cooking for everyone.

prawn cocktails,
Roast chickens,
leg of ham,
almond beans,
glazed carrots,
garden salad,
crunch potatos,
rice + asparagus + cheese dish,
fresh prawns,
homemade ice cream

and the usual side bitsss


and then at my folks place for dinner where I help out mum with the cooking..

prawn curry
lobster
crab
salmon
sweet potato
vegetables

As a kid I used to love pulling the bon bons.. and then hated it when I went through my young "i'm non conformist too cool for school stage to wear this bon bon paper hat" ... now.. I just do it.

I was going to head south to my parents for christmas, but after your post Rak I think I might fly up there and eat with you guys..

Nothing special at all this year.. Too much sorrow in the family.
Hoping to get my son the only item he wants, but I dunno.. (ndsi, anyone tried china dropship?)

We will try to have a somewhat happy x-mas though.. not to let the children down.

The funeral is on Friday so I can only hope that will bring some closure to all involved.

One thing I wish for myself is that more of EU ppl come and join the forum and spread the x-mas spirit over there too.
That way I can get more involved in it and hopefully bring som special x-mas gifts over your way.
