From what I have read so far i don't think they have many affiliates, and if they do they won't soon.. So I believe this site will be needed

If there is any actual proof that this site is owned by Betson, please provide that proof.

Speculation alone does not back up the statement "Clearly owned by Betsson".

Rick, is a program owning a portal frowned upon by GPWA or were you just asking for proof to back up the claim?

When the member uses the portal to qualify and apply for private membership, then Yes it is a concern that we should know about.

Direct inside connections to the affiliate programs is against the terms of service for Private Membership.

In addition, I would like to see actual proof, or it is speculation.

Things like using the same registrar etc, is NOT proof.

I think so. Looking at their alexa ranking, it's been falling for a few months now. Probably due to a decline in affiliate traffic.

Everyone who knows the Dutch online casino market knows this site belongs to the network acquired along with the buy of the Oranje Casino en Kroon casino brands by Betsson. The only thing i want to make clear is that it's not always fair to affiliates if a casino has a place in google above the affiliates that work hard to get them traffic, exploiting sites like this.

How is this not fair to affiliates? Brands have every right in the world to create their own affiliate sites.

There are a few reasons. They could be accessing their affiliate database data to mimic results causing an unfair advantage. A conflict of interest is created. Player offers can be too competitive. Are they cross marketing your players to their own tag. Etc etc.

Not saying it can't be done. Many properties have their own blogs, Facebook pages and things like that but has to be 100% transparent.

Some fair points about what shady companies would and stand up companies could (potentially) do. Still not a good reason to make a thread on a public forum saying Betsson Group are being unfair to affiliates, because they have a couple of million to purchase great domains. Hell, we don't even have proof that this site is owned by them.

I don't have any problem with this approach at all. I feel like people are whining just so they could procrastinate longer, instead of putting in that effort and ending up kicking ass and outranking a portal like this.

All this gambling affiliate thing is so beautiful exactly because of the ridiculous competition. You are trying to kick someones ass 24/7, while everyone else is doing the same to You.

That is a little cynical, and not exactly the driving force behind what the GPWA is all about.

Yes we are competitors, but many of us also freely share information and do not feel like all we want to do is kick the competition's ass before they kick ours.

Many times over the years we have seen where operators owning their own portals can give them a clear advantage over affiliates since they can see data about our traffic that they often do NOT share with us, and certainly being able to view affiliate data as an aggregate total that NO SINGLE affiliate can, certainly gives them a clear advantage over all affiliates.

Operators owning their own portals is something that affiliates can not stop, but it would be nicer if most of them that do would be more transparent about it. I do know some affiliates that would not work with operators that have portals that would be in direct competition with them in their markets, and others that would only with them with a more guarded approach, but them being more transparent about it would give them the opportunity to make a more informed decision about it nonetheless.

... hard to imagine this business being fun without being passionate and trying to compete. That is exactly what the ass kicking line was all about.

Operators are always at an advantage anyway. They can cut everyone off at any given time and we can't do much about it. Someone will always seize opportunities that others won't see or be able to seize.

Great example the other way are affiliates who reg casinonamebonuscode.com and bank on enormous marketing budgets spent for creating that search volume? I feel that it's unfair to operators, yet we don't see a lot of "this is not fair" posts about that.

Speaking of GPWA's driving force, it's probably to educate and help affiliates grow their businesses as well as avoid rogue operators, correct? In that case, the ass kicking line still works just about right. I'm just helping young yedi's to understand what it will be like

I can't speak about Betson, I don't know. Rick rightly would like more info. I was replying to why it's unfair to affiliates for affiliate programs to compete with their own affiliates.

You are entitled to your opinion of course but I just don't see it that way.

This thing about this industry is that if you want to stand the test of time then all you have is your good name. If you want to risk that by pulling one over on everyone then you reap what you sow. Partners won't work with you anymore and the truth pretty much always comes out. Therefore, it's not whining to voice concerns. It's essential to question. It's a webmaster tool to share info here and other places. We've seen the mighty fall for dubious practices because of it. Rightly so.

Everyone is free to compete naturally. When you scam etc you don't last. We've all seen it hundreds of times. It cracks me up when these people try to reinvent themselves. Leopards don't change their spots.

Same as casino.nl or blackjackspelregels and a lot of other sites. They're clearly operated by Betsson. The thing is it looks like a duck, it smells like a duck and it quacks like a duck, but I don't have any DNA proof that it's really a duck.

Despite all, almost every Dutch webmaster works with them (because they've bought 2 well-known brands). And despite knowing they'll lose their players when it will be .nl soon...

True but on the end it is all about the money. And affiliate site owners can decide not to seel their site.
