Love is indeed a big word, but I like the industry, I love the work and, of course, love the money.

I don't think one can be successful in a business which one doesn't like. Although I'm not a gambler myself, I find it a very interesting and exciting industry.

I write about sports and sports gambling because I like it - and it does not feel like a job.

I cover casino and poker because it's lucrative cross-over traffic, but it doesn't really hold the same interest.
The money is great though - which helps to focus the mind

Although I understand your feelings, one has to face that times are changing. People are changing and the whole world is changing.

In general I think all businesses have to run in a more clinical environment, with less emotional involvement. Maybe sad, but the "good old days" are no more. Funny that many years ago both my grandparents and parents said the same thing though . So in fact every generation has to deal with this I guess.

Maybe the igaming world once was a "big happy family" I don't know, but all industries, especially ones with much money involved, attract scumbags as well. In both affiliate programs and affiliates. Independant services are often not so independant (anymore) as they want to appear. Just because of the huge financial interests.

One has to be very picky these days which program to choose or which service and people to trust. This goes for every industry imho. Although you can't trust everyone, I know there still are many people around who are trustworthy and honest though.

And when laws change, every industry has to adapt. Hey, there is a whole world outside! Growing markets in eg. Europe and Asia offer huge opportunities and new technologies as well. Try to think outside the box and move forward.

I have a love / hate relationship with being an online gambling affiliate.

Sometimes I Love it all and sometimes I Hate it all...

I love gambling and i love the money, but i don't know i'd go as far as saying i love the industry. There are too many shady corners of unethical practice for me to love the industry.

    Well said.

I like the challenges and the money the online gambling industry offers but that's where it ends. This industry has become marred with dubious characters ripping of players and affiliates alike. Worst of all it's always the same people who get away with it. They open new affiliate sites promise affiliates the "sun and moon" just to steal from them a couple of months down the line. This seems to be the norm with most affiliate programs nowadays.

The industry is challenging to work in. That's why I can say that I love the opportunity the gaming industry give to earn money. I actually don't like gambling that much. I am positive towards skill games, poker and betting because money can be earned on the long term but dislike casino games.

Doing what I love makes me yearn for a new day. I am not pushed by anyone and I get to decide what to do for the day

I love what I do since I have nobody pushing me around. I have a reason to wake up every morning and decide what I should do for the day.
