Question Are you promoting more or fewer online gaming sites now than six months ago?

Most affiliates monitor the performance of the properties they promote on a regular basis. Based on how a program performs, and new information, like good offers available from properties or problems reported by fellow webmasters, decisions are made to promote new or different online gaming sites.

For this week's poll I thought it would be interesting to ask folks about whether they are promoting more or fewer properties than they were six months ago. Be sure to share what went on behind the scenes too. What influenced your decisions to add or drop particular online gaming sites. If you are promoting the same number of sites is that because you dropped some and added back about the same number, or because you didn't make any changes.

I'm actually promoting fewer myself. I've been weeding out the ones that have not done much or that AM's are slow to respond and giving most of my attention to a select handful at each site.

Still got a ways to go though before I finish pulling all the weeds. It's really something I wish I had done long ago.

I'm running out of places that i'm willing to promote. Pretty soon all i'll have left is "Stop by the house and we'll play some gin rummy"

Considering my business started six months ago Im adding more affiiliates as somebody previously mentioned still pulling the weeds out. Im pleased w/ how everything is turning out so far and there are some really good programs out there who are willing to help. But Im very cautious and do more research on whatever program I join instead of jumping right in as I did at first

Well I'm making some definite changes. Getting rid of several casinos I've promoted since I started, and gaining new ones, trying to get down to fewer than before, tho, so as to simplify and focus on different sort of content, and an influx of new energy. Trying to find something that will pay off. My reason for dropping the casinos is that they haven't produced. Some of them, no matter how much traffic I sent them, still showed nothing. New directions, keeping up with the times, that sort of thing.

Ive taken on a couple more as a result of the conference in London and meeting with affiliate managers of programs I haven't promoted before.

But then it is not hard for me to find more programs to promote as I am very selective. However the programs I have taken on are top notch operators which complement the casinos I already feature. It also ensures I am spreading my traffic. Which is very important.

I voted that I'm promoting about the same number as 6 months ago however I am just beginning the process of weeding out the non performers and expect to reduce or eliminate 20 - 25% of my current portfolio. There are a couple of programs I am considering adding as well so I would say that 6 months from now I will be promoting 15 - 20% fewer properties than I do now.

I added 2 new programs but reduced some of the non-performing properties.

    Interesting poll Michael.

I'm promoting more gaming sites than 6 months ago, I still need to understand which one is the best for my visitors.

In the future I'll lower the number of brands, focusing on sites which convert better.

Slightly more, although a few went by the wayside I have grown the casino offers. Not tremendous growth, I have also become very selective on who gets in the door and who gets thrown away. If you were to ask compared to two years ago it would be drastically less.

I'm promoting more sites than 6 months ago. Almost every month I add new sites to my portal.
