Default Which is your favourite affiliate conference to attend each year?

Just out of interest, which affiliate conference do you all enjoy the most each year?

Which ones do you find the most useful for networking and meeting up with other affiliates and affiliate managers?

I'm interested to find out which ones are the most popular so if you had to choose just one, which would it be?

I've only ever been to one - the LAC and that's mainly because it's down the road from my house, relatively speaking.

It was good though and I'll definitely go again next year.

Thanks for posting this question Peter. I've often wondered the same thing. If there was only one choice. Being over here in Oz, it's hard and very expensive to attend all of them.

Yeah same for me Renee, I'm from Australia too which makes it hard since it seems like a lot of the big affiliate conferences are based in Europe.

Has to be LAC for me and I'm sure many operators.

LAC is the only one that seems to have achieved that critical mass so it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy which actually reinforces this position and makes it harder for any of the other events to begin to come close.

I certainly would not say that the other events are without merit but London is the only one that is an absolute fixture on most people's calendar.

From my own experience and what I've heard from others - It's London 100%!

Yeah, London is the one to go to even though it's winter.

It's the busiest and also about an hour away from where I reside

    Australia?! You've got it easy.
It take me an extra 3-4 hours travel to get as far as Australia, and then more wait time ...
But agreed that the distance means that European show attendance is timed to just once every 2-3 years.

I'd up that to annual attendance for an Aussie / Asia based show though.

It's crap that you can't get a flight straight to singapore or something.
Luckily I sleep the whole way anyway. If I had to be awake for those flights I'd never be able to take them.

Definitely London for me. The conference, the city, the hotel (Hilton London Kensington), the Premier League, the Championship.

You get the point. Unfortunately, Millwall does not play at home on that weekend this year. Always an experience.

All those bad words I "learn" there. Can not forget them, no matter how hard I try.

    Later.

Personally for me, when I use to be with iGB, I use to love the conferences that were away from 'Home' (so not London!) - just because it was easier to organise and there was more a sense of adventure.

From an Affiliate/Affiliate Manager point of view thought (and now that home is technically Barcelona) obviously London is 'The one' in terms of critical mass.

I'll be curious though, whether more business gets done at events that have quantity or quality? We had a great show in Barcelona for example. Equally, I'm really looking forward to Amsterdam this year, I think that might attract a good crowd. London is London and will always be a highlight, but the other shows get a different crowd and people who would never usually come to the London conference.

Do you mean by Amsterdam this year: CAC 2013?

This looks so small. No other gaming involved except for casino? (can't post the link because of my 4 posts yet)

Nooooo, this one is run by iGB. It's new and improved and replacing the Dublin SuperShow. So I guess its the Amsterdam SuperShow. The old ones in Amsterdam were good though, except for the last one. So hopefully it'll be a good'un in a great city.
