Villento sends hard copy letters to homeadresses in Netherlands

Hi Renée,

not sure if you are the right person to address this to but one of your programs or affiliates is sending out hardcopy letters with an offer to join Villento casino to people in the Netherlands.

For sure you and your team are up-to-date with the current legal situation in the Netherlands. Needless to say that actions like this will not help anybody to smoothen the last steps needed to be taken to regulation. Besides stepping on toes of authorities, by crossing clear criteria and ethics, the person doing this is also using a database of people that never gave permission. So most probably data from another casino (maybe one of your own program) and "purchased" it somewhere.

To go short, this harms all that are trying to run or start a business in NL.

Yep. Spam you did not ask for in your postbox is always a big bother. I've heard of people they received it without them being a player of Villento. Also all those hoax stories about supermarket, fast-food and gas station employees winning jackpots are quite annoying.

Seems Rewards has no rush... uploaded picture to tinypic and sent in PM as well days ago. Now the excuse is that the link "can't be opened from the office". Something i do understand, had it been 1996 or so.... Apparently spending time here on congratulations, Christmas cheering and participating in fun threads has priority. I wasted enough time on this matter and do not expect Rewards to solve this.

Let's get a few things straight:

I needed to send several reminders here (started 24 November), although you replied to literally every single thread after your holiday this one was "forgotten". After that I have sent you the letter immediately upon request. The excuse that you can't open it is a farce.

Now besides the above let's not fool each other. The letter contained dedicated bonuscodes to get free money to Villento. The target country was The Netherlands... so really Renee how hard can it be for you to trace what is going on here?

- Villento
- Dutch customers
- Bonuscodes

I'm in the Dutch market for over 10 years and let's say that Villento is not really one of the top brands here so everybody in your office notices it when campaigns are set-up and activated.

Not being able to open the link is just a lousy excuse as you shouldn't even need the letter to be aware of (and act on) what has happened! You had 6 weeks now...

Renee, didn't want to get into this discussion and tried my best to keep is friendly but please let's not act like nobody there knows what is going on.

And why would I do that? Why don't you ask Rewards to solve this?

I simply tried to report something that really can hurt all good intentions and efforts of genuine affiliates (and future licensed operators) in the Netherlands. As you can read in my post it literally should take a few minutes for Rewards to find out who did this (if they don't know it already). You really think it is on me now to proof to them what (most likely) is a fully approved campaign by them already?

Why would a program hesitate to answer this, especially it being the program representative has over 8000 posts here? You really think in the past 6 weeks they weren't able to find out? You really think they can't open a tinypic link from Australia? You really think they can't find it on Dutch affiliate pages? You really think that a seasoned affiliate manager has no connections in the Netherlands and isn't able to run a simple search like: https://www.google.nl/#q=brief+villento+casino

Almost two months since this was reported... seems Rewards has no issue with this. Which feeds my suspicion that they supported it and might be even behind it. An excuse that one "can not get the letter" is a joke. Link was provided ( http://nl.tinypic.com/r/iz5hra/9 ) and pic was posted in PM directly upon request. Not being able to "open it from the office"... yeah right.

As stated in previous posts how hard can it be for a program to find who is behind this when:

- the casino mentioned has hardly any presence in the Netherlands
- the redeem the bonus a code needs to be entered
- "follow the source" is what the whole business is based on...

Rewards is awarded month after month for being the most active on this forum yet a simple answer can't be given. To create goodwill here I'm even accused of not providing the letter... which is a farce. Any program wanting to solve this would have acted same day this was reported and should not have to blame an affiliate for them not being able to "solve this"....

Renée is appreciated by many here (and maybe right so) but stalling this case and even blaming the one who reported it, as a reason not being able to solve this case, tells me there is more behind this. Sorry Renée my intentions were genuine but your reaction and follow up on this case were an eye-opener for me.

Although it might just be a simple mistake from a genuine affiliate eager to enter a new market (we all try our best to discover new opportunities) I can't ignore thinking Rewards is behind it themselves. And even if so, it might be have been with all the best intentions so than playing hide and seek wouldn't be necessary.

On thing is for sure now the Rewards products will be up on my sites soon. Without tracking-link and in the rogue section...
