Big decision

Nine years ago today I made a huge decision. After 15 years in a failed marriage, I took the plunge #2 and on a sunny Saturday took the current Mrs. Chips (Donna) to be my bride. We have now been together over 12 incredible years in all.

Best choice I ever made in my life! Publicly saying Happy Anniversary to the most wonderful, patient, loving and caring woman the Lord has ever created.

With all the negativity that we face, it is refreshing to have a ray of sunshine always shining on my shoulder! She has endured my poor health, endless hours seeing the back of my head while I do my daily battle online, crappy attitude when all goes to hell, and stays right there.

Thanks for listening.

A hearty congratulations Chips. I'm glad you have found someone you care so much about.
Congratulations.

What a wonderful post. Mrs Chips is a lucky woman.

Now, only if all husbands could be so caring and considerate. Mr. Chips do you offer husbandry classes?

Wow Jack, where did you find the picture from my 1st go round? Uncanny resemblance.

Nah, I am the lucky one, lucky to have her and lucky to still have her. She has really gone through the ringer with me...

Amidst all my faults, she stands by me.

Glad you enjoyed sir, I am here to please ;-)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Mr. & Mrs. Chips

LOL, I think giggles is absolutely correct. I don't think there is anything nicer than people showing appreciation for other people. That makes my heart sing. We could use alot more of that in this world today.

Again, happy anniversary to mr and mrs Chips ! Have a good dinner : :fryingpan: (like this smile very much), cheers for the 9 years  and I hope to succeed in the same way in my wedding !

Yann.

Congratulation :coupledrinking: .

Congrats Buddy!

By the way, where did you meet up? If she is Mrs. Chips, she probably a good poker player? Aren't she?

WTG Chips keep on loving! Life is to be shared with that special someone. Happy anniversary

Congratulations to you both!

A happy marriage is down to both partners Bruce and although Mrs Chips has had to suffer all the things you mentioned you can rest assured that you have given back much pleasure too!

Its what marriage is all about - give and take - rough with smooth

I would mention 1 exception to these rules though - 27 years of Chalkie and Mrs Chalkie should be renamed Saint Tina 8-)

Congratulations to the both of you. It makes life so very worthwhile when you have that special someone by your side.

Congrats mate, you are both lucky to have found each other.

I hope you have many more years of each other.

Actually she only started playing last summer, does rather well though, very gutsy in calling raises.

We actually met in 1994 when I took over a store and she was one of my cashiers, she actually hated me back then (or so she says) She was the very 1st person I met when I arrived in Christiansburg VA. Had traveled in from the Pittsburgh area.

No special plans Jamie, we went to a nice dinner last night, I actually shut the pc down at 3pm and did not touch it again til this morning (OMG, my inbox is slammed). We spent the remainder of the evening watching movies and re-heating the leftovers from the restaraunt..

Oh, and thanks to everyone for the well wishes!

What a wonderful tribute to your wife Chips. You're a keeper!

Congrats to both of you and many many more to come! :coupledrinking:

Way to go Chips!

It is amazing what the women will put up with us! I was away (international) for the second consecutive year on our anniversary... and every night I'm on my computer. And she's still with me after 6 years of marriage.

I reckon it is what you do when you are not pulling out your hair online. Donna is the most amazing person and I can not imagine what life would be without her, nor would I.

I do admit to over-doing my work (being a workaholic by nature) and almost lost her. Since I have backed off a bit and realized what I was doing, things actually got much better. Ladies: Chips is no pleasure to live with. I can be very cranky, ignore issues that I should not, screw up more times than I care to admit. All in all, I deserve no kudos, it is Donna that has earned all the respect and honors here.

I actually read all the posts to her, (she is not one to pry into what I post up). And she wants to thank everyone that posted up the warm wishes. I hope that y'all will be on London so you can meet the most incredible woman that God created. (no I'm not trying to get lucky).
