Sorry J.Todd, the answers were absolute rubbish when you take into account what is going on with their stats interface at the moment. If Marc would care to answer some of the questions about why we haven't had usable stats for the last four or so month then it might help convince us that they do care about relationships.
Hello Jarvi...
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I had no idea there were outstanding issues with EuroPartners. I will contact Marc and get some answers as to what's going on with their stats interface and when there will be some resolution.
In the meantime, we will place the release of this video on hold so that there is absolutely no confusion in anyones mind that the APCW stands behind affiliates, first and foremost.
.
Thanks. Easiest to point him to the main thread in the Euro Partners private area to see how things haven't been progressing.
Thanks Jarvi for pointing this out to J Todd. Its true since June 1st almost no stats are working. Basically idle nothing can be done or seen period.
Responses??
"Were working on it"
How many more months?
Steve
Hey,
Firstly, we are aware of certain issues with stats, but overall they are working.
To clarify, these are specific problems with the Stats:
1. Sub-affiliate report - There is no one report for all sub-affiliates. Reports for subs can only be seen individually.
2. Clicks and impressions - They cannot be seen with old tracking links. They can be seen with the new tracking links that can be received from the EP site after log in or from your affiliate manager.
The new systems is not functioning as well as we had hoped and we are working to correct its faults.
With that said, due to the situation, our affiliate managers have been working extra hard to provide all affiliates with necessary reports and information.
If you haven't received what you need, please speak up and let us know.
Regarding the comment that we haven't been responding to posts - both Marc and I have responded several times to posts, explaining the situation, problems and when we expect a resolution.
Unfortunately, since my last post on Sept 1st, there have been no new developments to report.
With Regards,
Robin
Thanks for the update, Robin. I know that many at EP were attending BAC like I was in the early part of September. I also understand the logistical challenges associated with the migration to a new system, but also very much appreciate the position of affiliates having to run their businesses with less than average information.
Jarvi... are the two issues listed above the areas you have complaints about, or are there more? And does anyone else have additional complaints in regard to the statistical interface at EuroPartners? If so, could we get some specifics and have Robin, Marc, and/or other EP staff address them right here, right away?
I see no reason why we cannot get to some point of cooperation and eventual resolution on this. 8-)
There is an alternative possible!!!
Have a secondary login area with the old stats. They worked for years, and we all managed to function with the old system for a long time.
Some programs such as focal click had a system change yet allowed you to use both systems for a while until the new system was fully functional.
It would seem prudent that before making any changes as huge as this that a company would want the new system to work almost perfect.
And if not at least have a fallback which in this case would be the old stats.
I think if this was done from the start things would have been much easier as business would continue whether the new stats functioned or not.
Its not to hard to have an additional button on the Euro site which would allow the option to log in to old stats area...
It would be so helpful for all affiliates to have this... and the secondary benefit would be to compare each stats systems together.
Comparing the two would allow to see if errors were still an issue on the new one as right now were not sure how anything works.
The chance was made June 1st almost 4 months ago. 120 days of not being able to function properly...
Keeping the old system up while the new migration happened could of saved us all the aggrevation and i sure Euros alot of money wasted in time.
Steve
Great contibution, Steve... thank you!
I has limited email correspondence with Robin this morning, but do remember than thy are 9 hours ahead of me, and their weeken is Friday/Saturday, not Saturday/Sunday... so give them until Sunday night at least to get back in here, as they are most likely out of the office.
Also, I don't want to say too much because I received this information in a private email, but Marc has some personal problems right now which are beyond his control and very unfortunate, so please be patient with his for just a bit. I know he's not deliberately avoiding the thread right now.
Your very Welcome,
I just thought I would toss around an idea, which in fact may be helpful to Euro partners and their relationships with the affiliates.
They were my very first affiliate program and i have had some wonderful Ams from them in the past. I like them and just want thing to work for all of us as that is the way it should be.
No harm in waiting another few days as its been 4 months, so no worries. I am sure all of us can hold off for a few days.
I sure hope March is allright and things turn positive for Euro Partners.
They are great guys!!! So i will cross my fingers for them.
Steve
Why is the release of this interview blocked? Affiliates themselves know the nature of their relationship with Euro Partner AMs. You don't have to censor what affiliates hear.
Anyway, seems to me most of us would like to hear what Marc has to say in response to your questions. Then we can judge for ourselves how accurate or not the answere are. I can't believe the answers are so bad that you had to postpone the release!LOL.:evillaug:
Jay, your videos are basically the start and finish to Gambling Industry news shows. No one competes, or at least, no other comes close.
In effect, you are a true journalist. You have thousands of viewers for your weekly news items. So please don't remove videos, especially one that seems to be suddenly controversial! Maybe you have a scoop here?
Hi JeterForHOF...
I truly appreciate your comments and kind words. And you are correct that a journalist should not censor a story just because someone or something is unpopular. In this case, however, I think this was the best choice, and here's why:
First, I had no idea that EuroPartners had issues with their stats interface. There's just too much stuff happenning in these forums all the time to keep up with, and I missed that one. Had I known of the issues in advance of the video I would have certainly addressed them before shooting and/or during our interview process.
Second, to be completely honest, the interview was a promotional piece and not true journalism. When an affiliate program supports the APCW at a certain level, we support them in return by producing promotional videos. If the program is in good standing there's not an issue. In this case, tho, some affiliates thought it would be best to get EuroPartners stats issues resolved before an organization like the APCW promoted them. I have to say that I see their point and agree.
Lastly, I truly believe that in such trying times as these... with so many things that are hurting the affiliates bottom line... it's vital that the APCW stands with the webmasters who help empower what we do. Where we are positioned is certainly challenging at times, but it's also needed right now. We will work with EuroPartners to resolve these issues... then release their video. It may not be the way EuroPartners would like it to be. However, I am absolutely certain that in the long term, what's best for the affiliates right now is also what's best this programs reputation.
Which reminds me... has anyone heard from them yet this week?
.
You have made a convincing argument, and hats off for your admission that this was a promotional video. I stand by my original statement regarding your journalistic integrity and accomplishment. It must always be remembered that you have changed this industry, and for the better I might add.:clap::clap::clap::clap:
Thank you again, sir.
I do appreciate everything, but I have great people all around me. Without Anthony, Michael, Steven, Vin, and all the support from you guys in here it would all be for nothing. We also have many great relationships with folks at quality sites all over the web who do their part to help.
I just happen to be fortunate enough to be the guy who delivers the message. Guess I was just lucky to born with a big mouth and absolutely no sense of shame! LOL! :joy:
So i noticed Euro Partners was here today. I watched them come and go!!!
Interesting!! As we all struggle and wait not knowing whats going on.
Perhaps at least another " Were working on it " could have been said.
Perhaps not!
October will be 5th month!!!! Any bets on 6?
Please review this post as well regarding compensation for Tony G players removed from our affiliate accounts. Thank you.
I am starting to become a little put off by this. It's one thing to have "issues" with stats, but it's quite something different to avoid dealing with the people being affected by that issue.
I believe it's time for me to take this to a new level. Europartners, if you're in here lurking, please address the issues so I don't have to look for you.
.
Except for not being able to see old stats -- that's ok! I can get it from my am, I think.
Anyway, nice job EP! Can you please allow US players again so I can start making the big bucks like I used to - tell Samantha P, my manager, hi from Randy?!
Everyone --- I think EP is probably busy, or have no good news to deliver... This is why they are quiet... But Ero Partners always paid on time, and thats the most important thing to me having dealt with lots of programs that never paid. IT was better when they were Casino Partners and I was making big dinero!
Back to the bj tables at the Venitian... Life could be a lot worse, so everyone remember that! Jay said that Mark will get back to us, so lets wait.
EuroPartners deserves at least that much!
Apologies for not replying earlier, however, I just wasn't sure what to say. To be honest I am a bit sick of rehashing all of this. When we first starting reporting issues here in the private forums we were asked to contact out affiliate managers individually. Did that and continued to report in the forum. To date nothing has been fixed.
- I still have to run sub affiliate reports on an individual basis each month end which takes an hour or so,
- people are reporting that the new links don't track, so that solution isn't working,
- the summary earnings figure in the dashboard is still showing to three decimal places. Come on, how difficult is that to fix?
- the banners and links are overly cumbersome to retrieve. I posted it somewhere about it taking minutes to just get one link.
The thing about the banners has been mentioned to my AM although not specifically brought up here as a problem. If you have had a look at it you will know it must have been designed by some-one who has never had to retrieve banners before. I consider it unusable at the moment.
Half the problems have been because we haven't been kept in the loop with things. Perhaps if it has been rolled out to a few affiliates to beta test, a lot of this could have been avoided. They would have quickly said the banner retrieval was cumbersome, the summary was to three decimals and overall the system was slow. Of course hindsight is great and we need to move forward without all the spin about how good it will be, how you listen to our needs etc. It is plainly obvious those are only words.
Most of us are now at the point where it's easier to remove links rather than replace them with the new ones (that don't appear to work either).
One more thing. You could have dealt with this in the private section of your forum, however, because you failed to address our concerns in a timely manner it has now become much more public. Probably not what you wanted.
I also believe in fairness and i also hate to post these issues but for months i have been patient. I have beenn emailing my Ams. I know they are trying. But the reason for this here is because i feel emails do not work. The last time i was scolded for emailing them to much and i didnt want to rock the boat with Euros at the time out of fear..
But the problem is, there is way more at stake now considering were getting larger each day... and i want to make sure when things get moving and trafifc flowing were doing ok with Euros.
Trust me i like Euros, i have always liked them. They may not respond as quick as i would like in emails, but hey thats ok..
However this has gone on too long.. 5 months now. A multi million dollar company does not allow this to happen.
All i would like to see done....
1. Stats working for both my accounts - tracking, clicks, reg, deposits, visitors ect ect.. Which i cant see right now. I dont even know if one account is working at all... our casino links mainly.
2. Our prior system for issuing our free bankrolls to be fixed after 5 months please, lets correct this for good.
3. To be able to see all traffic and TTR/OPR numbers of the poker players in one account so we can track point levels.. (players not getting bonuses)
We have a special system of bonnus given at 5k 10K 15k points. Not working... our whole system is non functional.
4. In general for everything to start working again.
5. A big one : To find out what is happening with the hundreds of tony g players i sent (most not active i know) and the compensation of these.
Tony G Partners will not reply to me.
I may have more but these are pressing. And i do believe they are a good bunch of guys.. but still enough time has been given.
Lets get the job done guys.. be professional.
Steve
Hi All
This is Marc from Euro Partners.
I posted in the private threads regarding the situation of the new system and Tony G players.
If you want to discuss it here we can but I think best to keep things to 1 thread.
Other than the specific issues raised in the threads I think the point of "affiliates not being enough in the loop" is a good point and one which we are taking to heart.
I can't change what's happened thus far and am not going to make any promises as we all know that actions speak louder than words.
I will say that Euro Partners is one of the longest standing programs in the industry and we have a good reputation for a reason.
We're having some issues at the moment and we'll get through them together, like we always have and I know we'll emerge a stronger and better program for affiliates as a result.
I understand the system issues are frustrating and I personally will interact much more in the forums regarding the situation as well as doing all that we can behind the scenes to improve the situation.
In the meantime feel free to reply to any of the threads or PM me about anything.
Until tomorrow.
Marc
P.S. I created this new ID so you can distinguish when it is me posting.
