Hello everyone!
Glad to have found this forum, managed to browse through a bit and I am already starting to like this community!
So, about myself: I have just finished designing my affiliate website on the casino niche, posted 10 informative blog posts, and hired an SEO expert to optimize my website to the max. I live in Malta and I haven't chosen my geo's yet, I was thinking of targeting Malta and potentially Australia. What do you guys think?
Also, I would love to absorb as much information as I can regarding casino affiliate marketing, so if you know any helpful resources/tutorials/courses that could get me on the right path, please let me know! I appreciate everyone's help and insight, hope that I will myself help newbies in the future to grow their own thing. :)
Best.

Welcome to the GPWA
Choose the geo's before the content is written.
Choose the geo's before the seo targets a geo you choose not to target.
10 only articles will not be enough, but it is good to start somewhere.
If you want specific recommendations for a site, best thing to do is to request a site review at https://www.gpwa.org/forum/affiliate...e-reviews.html and you will get a lot of suggestions that are more specific.
Don't worry about the site link not being approved, we'll take care of that when we see it.

If the site is in English then why localize the site? Leave it as it is, the search engine itself will figure out in which countries to display your site.
Determining GEO is completely pointless.
Of course, I assume you are advertising global brands. If regional then of course it's a different situation.
10 pages is a bit low. Unless your niche is extremely narrow and you cover the topic. However, I don't think there is a topic in gambling that can be developed in just 10 pages. There are also side topics, tutorials, etc. It's worth considering adding a few dozen pages.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will submit a site review and see how that goes!
Regarding the geo's however, do you have other suggestions apart from Australia? Or does it even matter at the end of the day what I pick as my geo's? Just curious. Appreciate the help!
Hmm, I see mixed responses regarding the geo's. But yes, I'd like to promote global brands over regional, since my main language is English.
Also regrading the 10 pages on my blog, I forgot to mention that they are the 'first' 10 pages, meaning that I am currently in the process of writing many others! I plan on writing approximately 5 blog pages/week. :)

There is some good advice above. Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the forum!
I agree with Universal on this point: choose the geographical area before continuing. That way, you can make your content more relevant to your readers.
Unless you intend to create something more generic and exclusively work with global brands, even in that case, make sure it is always your deliberate choice and not improvisations that may cause problems later on (that was one of my mistakes when I started).
I look forward to reading your contributions here soon.

I would just target general English, Aus might get blocked Malta is way too small, Canada NZ?

Thank you so much for your response! I think that my best choice moving forward will be working with global brands, I will consider niching down later on. Thanks for the insight!

I think there are enough advices so just welcome to GPWA

Welcome to the board. As others have said, it can be unnecessarily tricky to target specific geos which can also lead to self competition/cannibalization if you're not careful. Though if that's the direction you want to go, maybe start with a less competitive geo first to gain traction.

Congratulations on finishing your affiliate website! It sounds like you've put a lot of hard work into it. Targeting Malta and Australia is a great idea, as both countries have a large number of potential customers for casino games, but first choose it.

I'm interested what did you choose? What benefits are there?
