There are no problems with banks in Latin America yet towards moneylaundering harassing. Because here are so many problems with everything and banks too. 1st problem is that the banks do not open accounts easily to anyone. 2nd is that the NEO banks are abundant, but they all have very limited limits (like few thousands USD/month), so they are unusable for anything else than groceries. But banks here are generally happy for cash, because it is not like in Europe, where ECB prints money and donates it to banks.
The model with p2p payments in Europe is just asking for troubles... not that it is not usable, but the middle man will be sooner or later caught, because likely he has no licence and then all the parties involved will be in trouble, because at least some do some hard crime and everyone involved will be linked to it.
In Hungary and now even in Slovakia, both EU countries, were and are introduced taxes of turnover of bank transactions. Yes, companies/in Hungary anyone, who pays for anything, must pay a tax on the top. Additional taxes are for cashmachine withdrawals. Slovakian companies that want to make bank accounts abroad, must report it and pay the tax even from transactions from abroad.
So this is how digitalization made our lives richer. In the good old times was enough to have money and pay.
