There is an outdoor fitness group I run on saturdays and there is one lady who has a not so supportive family. In over a year she hasn't managed to get any fitter or lose weight despite everyone else having fantastic results. She has a lot of excuses about why she cant do things, but I decided on Friday that one of my goals was going to be getting her to run 5km by June.
So on Sat i stayed with her the whole time we were running and when she said she couldn't go on, I pushed her just a bit further every time, and after resting just enough for her heart rate to come down a bit, pushed her again. She has never run that far before so I think this goal is one that I should be able to hit.
Bit weird that my goal is helping someone else I guess. But I really feel for her that her family doesn't support her so I want her to see that she will be able to get results if she actually gives herself the importance she deserves.
