Something like this impacts one's life even if it does not directly impact one's bottom line. I feel like a broken record for saying this but at sometime, someone or a group of someones needs to take a stand in court over the insertion of quotas and over the stealing of affiliate accounts in order to attempt to prevent it happening with different programs in the future.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have.

Put it this way If I was earning 5 figures a month like some are I would not hesitate. I really hope this gets going we need to know where we stand with this kind of thing.

Said it for a while that small affiliates would soon be getting squeezed out, but in no way did I expect them to kick down the big affiliates. William Hill recently reduced my commission to virtually nothing, with 2 of my main earners now down the pan, I expect this is game over for me now.

In my life I had just one dispute by the court. It was not about affiliate business. It was a dispute with exotic domain registrar, who changed some terms retroactively and wanted to delete me a domain. I won.

The interesting thing was that the EU court ruled that it is impossible to change the terms retroactively (even if there is the "tickbox") and that there is a judicature for that. Britain still is in the EU.

There's a very fair way to take them to the court, and that is whoever wants in, their percentage of the legal fees will be in accordance to their percentage of their average skybet earnings for the last 3 years.

Example:

Total Affiliates in lawsuit - average skybet earnings as a whole for last 3 years - £10m.

Affiliate A average skybet earnings for last 3 years £300,000 = 3% of the legal fees.
Affiliate B average skybet earnings for last 3 years £1,000,000 = 10% of the legal fees.
Affiliate C average skybet earnings for last 3 years £50,000 = 0.50% of the legal fees.

I don't think I've ever posted on the forums but do read the site regularly.

I know talk can be cheap in instances like this, but I am affiliate who would be genuinely interested in perusing sky bet via legal means.

Ah well, they may as well have the last 5% of the £5,000 they were already stealing from me. Sad to see them behaving like a bunch of heroin addicts, do anything to thieve a bit more money.

Also, does anyone know what has happened to Sky Vegas stats, or are they going to thieve that money too. Seems to have disappeared the past week or so.

Need to hold tight for a few days, legal opinion has been requested.

The lawyer that won the dispute is now going to hospital for a surgery, but he said he can try something. But that would be specific and individual. The problem with class action is that we are all independent weird individualists and someone has to raise the flag.

If that is correct, it's precedent and means they're in trouble. It also means GVC are in trouble too.

I have been an affiliate for 5 years and will lose about 70-80K a year from this, thankfully this is only about 20% of my income.

I was made to agree skys new terms and conditions to get payment and I know they have agreed with certain affiliates to keep them going, the really big ones.

I know a few affiliates in the industry as well and all up for legal action

If we don't stop sky then it could snowball out of control. If you are big with another affiliate as well, it seriously would be worth contributing towards this as if we stop one then we stop them all for good.

They are in trouble only if we start doing something.

Bwin stole when? In 2012? They never paid for that. Because we rather make a website like this http://www.belosers.com/. And the affiliate programs know that it pays off.

Like I said above, waiting on legal opinion first.

The UKGC licence for SkyBet is and has been held by a company called Bonne Terre Limited - source.

Bonne Terre Limited is also listed as the operator of the Affiliatehub affiliate program.

Last we were paid by Skybet, they were paying out with the company name of Bonne Terre Limited.

With all that being said, riddle me this...

How can Bonne Terre Limited be a licence holder for a UKGC betting site, running an affiliate program, and paying people when the company was dissolved in mid-2016 --- source?

OK so they don't want affiliates promoting them anymore because they want control? but surely they could still pay us our owed lifetime revenue shares?

Perhaps they are looking to sell the brand which is now effectively worth double than it was yesterday?

They will prob restart the affiliate program again in time just like Sporting Bet, Bwin and others before and people will STILL promote them!!!!
