Where would you send a text link?

I've started using a text link to a promo page such as

http://www.jackswild.com/roxy_casino/welcome_offer.html

Is this a good idea, or would you send the surfer straight to the casino?

The links are in blocks of narrative, corners of page titles, and on 404 pages.

I think that is a nice idea...

I have done similar things in the past with some of the seasonal promotions and sometimes they do well.

Different thing appeal to different people....

Thanks Rick,

I'm struggling here to find traffic sources. I don't know enough to join the links roundabout, so if I did, I'd just be giving away traffic.

Link exchanges are extremely important....even for new sites.
