Where would you send a text link?

I've started using a text link to a promo page such as

http://www.jackswild.com/roxy_casino/welcome_offer.html

Is this a good idea, or would you send the surfer straight to the casino?

The links are in blocks of narrative, corners of page titles, and on 404 pages.

I think that is a nice idea...

I have done similar things in the past with some of the seasonal promotions and sometimes they do well.

Different thing appeal to different people....
