LONDON, England -- Ladbrokes, the British bookmaker, is to chop 263 jobs and close its call centre, blaming off shore competitors tax advantages, according to a report in The Guardian.
Ladbrokes pays significant taxes on it's UK telephone betting operation, which was loss making so far this year, the Guardian said.
The company already moved Ladbrokes.com to Gibraltar last month and says it will do what it can to reduce redundancies by relocating some employees, the Guardian report stated.
