Gambling ban passes Polish parliament

23 November 2009

POLAND -- The Polish Parliament has passed a ban that limits gambling to casinos, the Krakow Post reported.

Slots were allowed in bars, cafes and shopping malls and up to 50,000 machines will need to be removed.

Internet gaming will also not be allowed under Polish law, but enforcement will prove more difficult, the Krakow Post report said.
