Post Industry wake-up call: Sentenced in court for playing in online casino

German players already hear the prison door slam shut behind them?

Industry ... don't lose all your German Highrollers.

25 years old German sentenced in court to a pecuniary penalty for playing in online casino

This entry in my lucid diary can certainly be considered remarkable, particularly in view of the fact that it's the first time in my country, that a player was sentenced in court for playing online. [...] So in this case obviously they got the search warrent and found in the house a Tommy Hilfiger shoe box, filled with 73.490,00 EUR in cash. 10.000 EUR belongs to the mother. The rest of the money was confiscated. [...] On 26. September 2014 he was sentenced in Local Court in Munich to [...]

Perhaps you should put the main points in this thread - as your castle is a rambling thread and the information will be lost quickly - buried deep in pages that mean it is not read?

It was interesting to note a point in that post you made - that appears to provide a clause for jailing a "person who advertises" an illegal game of chance?

Given that Germany's regulation are quite confusing with several variations in different regions, and that they seem to be contrary to EU laws - that's a tough stance given that most affiliates with European programs on site will probably be advertising a program that is illegal somewhere in Germany.

It looks like I will need to cross Germany off my list of countries to take a holiday in then?

Seems like a bad news for casino affiliates, maybe it is better to promote US programs.

After some weeks threads in this area are also on thread page 2 or 3 and no one is reading them ever again.

In my lucid diary all information are safe, and if someone is not reading there and missing it, then it's not my fault. With over 67.000 views I took my chance to gave something special to my little fan base.

Opening this thread was only a additional hint. And if someone is asking me in my diary as Rick did yesterday regarding this case, then he will get a detailed answer.

"Seems like a bad news for casino affiliates, maybe it is better to promote US programs."

Bank wire transfer is the crux of the matter. 15 years ago it was no problem in Germany to receive dozens of little bank checks from other countries every month for legal advertising different products.

Today, after 9/11, it's commiting suicide to do that as a German. The law changes after 9/11 not only for the American people are a massive intervention in the freedom of everyday life including private bank accounts. Also "Old Europe" is no longer the same again as in the good, old days. Two checks from other countries or some wire transfers, and you are a Taliban or a money laundering crook.

Thank you Saudi-Arabia for sending the Hijackers, you fx*@%#!! [BLEEP] [BLEEP] [BLEEP].

Yes, Saudi-Arabia, not Afghanistan. Didn't you know that, dear reader? No Afghan were in the planes. Not a single one! Most of them came from Saudi-Arabia, good friends of Europe and western hemisphere.
