What are your requirements if you include a new affiliate program?

What criteria do you use to accept a new affiliate program at our site? What is the focus on?


Many probably only look at the rev share or CPA deal being offered. Others maybe what kind of background the provider has, where is the company headquarters, how long has it been on the market.

We are willing to accept the majority of affiliate programs as we are now more focused on promoting these programs in the B2B space. Depending on their commission structures available may depend on where they will get placed and what kind of promoting will be done.

So you accept absolutely every affiliate program? Even if they have some shady reputation for example?

I'll consider everything that the program has to offer. More importantly, the program doesn't have predatory clauses and doesn't have a history of unscrupulous behavior towards its partners.

Although I would have a particular order I would research these questions, the first few carry a bit more weight with me specifically, as well as making the others easier to research.

#Are they already at the GPWA either as a sponsor or a rep as a non-sponsor?
You might be surprised if you knew how often an affiliate rep might say, "We have been around for more then 10 years and know everyone in the business, I have never heard of the GPWA" (failed that question)


#Do they have a presence at any of the other big Industry forums like Cap, AGD, Meisters?
This goes toward determining if they in fact have active relationships with more active affiliates and may be more proactive in working out stats or payment issues or other minor things which arise.


#Do they have a quota?
This is a big one with me personally.


#How do other Private GPWA Members feel about promoting them?
This one immediately speaks to their reputation, and if they have a bad reputation among my friends here, well it most likely will not go much further then that one.


#What is their reputation among players?
If it seems over and above the normal list of complaints that casinos generally have, then this will be a factor that helps determine at least a guarded approach.

#What are the cookie terms as well as other terms such as lifetime, negative carry over, tiered commission structure etc?
Providing many of the other factors pass, then some of these other factors will be looked at closer.

#What Geo's are available?
Even if this one seems limited in scope or does not fit immediately, always a must to know in advance before blasting a brand around on a site that doesn't target that geo.

I have a mono-regional site (India). And for me the conditions they provide for users from my region are important first of all. I need to have a Hindi environment for users: the site/application interface, ideally the support team should also speak Hindi (but this does not happen often).

Of course, it should be possible to make deposits and withdrawals in rupees. Popular (or at least part of them) payment methods must be supported there.

And, of course, regularity and mandatory payments from the affiliate program.

Sometimes I make an exception for some, if, for example, there are very profitable for me commissions. Or, if the program has other worthy advantages: for example, an excellent welcome bonus, a solid exclusive promo code for my users or something similar.
