Is this a MGS wide circumstance? Will we lose our existing players come the 1st?

I had written asking for my username for an existing account.

Not thrilled.


I should add it is possible that I could have been cross-referenced to associate me with the aff who originally signed me but that seems like a lot of trouble.

If they had at least bothered to note what my account username used to be ... I would have felt much more comfortable thinking they were tagging us over.

Rumor has it that all micros will have a new software, new provider for US players and all players will be migrated off the existing casinos before June1st (UIGEA).

That way Microgaming will enter the UIGEA era clean and able to negotiate with the DOJ as did Party...

Slotastic is not the new software and appears to be an interim place for referback. However, Playshare has new US facing casinos opening... you can read about it on their aff site.

Erm...Referback closed US player accounts about 2 years ago I think Steve. I remember waking up one day to see 100's of account closures in the stats.

The Slotastic deal is just a new initiative launced a short time ago simply to give everyone an option I think. It's a long term deal - I asked a week or two ago when I got wind of what's happening so at a guess Referback will be sticking with Slotastic as their US partner.

You know I probably would have noticed but I still get a check every once in while from RB and since MGS pulled out anyway ... its not like I check their stats all that often because I get mostly USA traffic. I just assumed those players already signed up ... were still playing.

Lucky I had most my eggs in the Rewards Affs basket because they have definitely proven to have been the best MGS powered network to be teamed with for those with US traffic (IMHO, or at least in my case).

Interesting point BB. I did take note referback did indeed close existing U.S accounts roughly right after Microgaming pulled out. Not quite understanding I just chalked it down as whatever and began limiting their real estate exposure down to a trickle. I thought my existing refereed clients would remain but I guess not.

However, not all MGS programs followed such as CR leaving me again, very confused.

And the rest is history... and glad you raised this topic.

BB, if its software wide - it wont be long before Rewards shuts off all your players as well.

I guess affiliates who have invested years into partnering with MGS casinos are about to be SOL.

Referback is adding a US player option which is excellent for those of us with US traffic. I am not sure if they will bring over all our old US players and let them know about the new casino and credit us, but that would be great if they did.

It's about time Microgaming got back into the game so I am looking forward to the rumored new software. In the past Microgaming were my biggest earners and I would love to regain some off that lost income.
