Aff United Not Registering Mobile Traffic

Hi,

Has anyone else experienced any issues with referring mobile traffic to William Hill? I've noticed the registration page throws an error message before referred players get the chance to complete sign up but only on iPhones But it seems like the registration goes through as I they get an email 4 hours later.

Also with a completed sign up & deposit from the mobile site it doesn't show the sign ups in the dashboards? Anyone had anything similar?

Hi,

Mobile tracking carries on working as it did before we migrated to NR.

I'd recommend replacing your link with a new NR link if you haven't done so yet.

Make sure you ask for their responsive link (one that deals correctly with the traffic according to its source). Unlike all other firms the william hill links are not responsive yet. They provide links for desktop and separate links for mobile. I did manage, after a phone conversation (and first being told they did not have one), to get a responsive link out of them. I only tested that it does give mobile users a mobile landing page and desktop users their landing page. Whether it tracks beyond that for mobile I don't know (but I bloody well hope so).

Please William Hill could you make all your links responsive as a priority, you are lagging behind all your rivals on this and losing sign-ups (and affiliates losing referrals) as a result. Nothing worse than a mobile user landing on a non-mobile landing page. They will just find another firm to join.

I actually got this sorted out. I'm not sure how I feel about the links being responsive, I'd almost prefer to select the mobile version as I advertise mobile specifically. I do think they need promo landing pages for mobile however.

I would also be interested to know what the results of this are. Looking at my sites traffic as a whole I am almost 50/50 mobile vs desktop so it could well affect my WH signups, which are lower than most the other bookies.

I registered a test account with william hill yesterday via my iphone and using the responsive link they had provided to me (ie: I was testing the mobile referral tracking). I had no problems registering and I am happy to confirm that the account did show as registered. It shows as a new account for me in the netrefer system and the customer join time stamp is exactly when I joined and it shows as having been registered through the mobile platform. In other words everything appears to be working exactly as it should on the mobile tracking.

Our WEB links are responsive (except for a few that were kept not responsive on purpose), so if a player who's using a mobile device lands on William Hill by clicking a WEB link he will see the mobile version of the site.

We also offer links that are only for mobile. If you cannot find these on our portal contact us and we'll help.

What we did with ddixon is we changed the WAP link he was using on our back-end to be a regular mobile link, that did it.

Are you sure of your facts there? Have they all changed to responsive in the last week or so? I dont think so. Because I think you know the only way I could get a responsive link was to make a phone call and get one that is not generated from within the netrefer system and it only goes to a soccer landing page. Also my AM has been telling me there are no other responsive links than the one I have been given (ie: I cant get any for casino, poker, bingo etc). I know you told DB that they were all responsive (and then blamed it on the xml feed, which was not the case) but this is not true. I am clicking on william hill netrefer affiliate links from my iphone on other people's affiliate sites and they are not responsive - they go to the desktop site. My site is not a good test as it goes to a mobile site from a mobile device.

I don't think we are going to get responsive links ever if you are telling everyone they are responsive when they are not. Would be great for everyone if this was actually sorted out.

As mentioned before, not all our links are responsive.

If you're missing a specific link the best thing to do would be to contact AMs and they'll make it responsive for you.
