What is your favorite series and movie so far this year?

[TheJoker]

Just to be clear, I'm referring to movies and series that have been released this year.

Regarding series, so far the only one I really liked was Carnival Row season 2, which unfortunately will be its last. It is quite interesting for anyone who likes fantasy and crime. As for movies, it's been a bit complicated since none of them has been good enough for me but if I have to choose one it would be Plane with Gerard Butler. It's a typical action movie but I hope that during the year some better ones may appear and I'll update this post for sure.

Not sure you could call it a series but recently watched a 3 part documentary call MH370. Very interesting theories presented in the series regarding the disappearance of MH370.

I liked the series Wednesday, I hope there will be a 2nd season

Just started watching season 2 of Shadow and Bone. It's one of the best fantasy shows I've ever watched.

I haven't seen Murder Mystery 2 yet but am looking forward to it.

[Raúl Jimenez]

So far only Wednesday(((

[TheJoker]

I saw that documentary recently as well and I was fascinated by that mystery. It is incredible to think that even with all the technological advances that exist to date, it is impossible to know exactly what happened to that plane.

I'm looking forward to the film The Mandalorian season 3.

Honestly, It's been Shrinking on Apple TV. It's such an incredible show with a feel-good atmosphere that makes you enjoy the friendships & relationships you have in your life. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone reading.

I was going to agree with others in the responses that my favorite series of the year was Wednesday, but I just realized it's from 2022. This year there hasn't been any series that I love, You and Shrinking have been good, but I wouldn't call them my favorites.

Regarding the movie, I liked You People. It's kind of weird but in a good way.

Has anyone watched Fire Country? It's so good! I'm not sure on the date, but one I join Apple TV once in a while to watch is SEE. It's a dystopian series set in a future where humanity has lost their vision. Society has evolved into a primitive existence, but everything goes crazy when twins are born with the ability to see.

I have enjoyed a few this year so far, Special Ops: Lioness, The Last of Us, The Consultant, The Terminal List and The Continental, all worth a watch IMO.
