About LinkBacksI came across this WP plugin a few days ago and have installed it on all my WP sites.

It blocks spam posts, login attempts and malicious access to the back-end requested from the specific countries, and also prevents zero-day exploit.
It's brilliant. Its killed 99% of back-end hack attempts.

Thanks for the info. I have an issue with a couple of wordpress sites and also there is a vulnerability in wordpress 4.7 that this should help with

We use WordFence which does very much the same. There are also a number of extras like locking out IP's that try to login using your login names. For Geo block you have to pay the extra $8 or so a month but well worth it as it comes with plenty more extras.
