    Default Flash banner with iframe

    Hi!

I don't know exactly when these new banners appeared, but we had problems with them. They have an iframe tag inside the object html tag, which I think is not a good solution or valid HTML. On our sites we had to remove that tag from the code generated by the affiliate system, otherwise it ended up messing up our websites.

Anyone else thinking iframes shouldn't be used inside object tags for flash banners?

We had the identical problem and we also removed the iframe code within the flash banner code or it corrupted content below it. On some sites it showed the banner twice. As the banner code before this never had that line of iframe code we, like you, simply removed it. The banners then displayed without problem and the click-through worked. What is the value of that line of 'iframe code' in the flash banners? Why was it added at all? Has nobody else complained about the corruption it can cause to pages?

There are all the details in the first post. I think somebody from the IT department wanted to make the banners work in browser without Flash or something like that, but he messed up (like noscript + javascript, except this is not standard) Simply tell him to remove the iframes from the generated code and it will be fine.

    Affiliates,

This is confirmation that the recent issues with the Live Odds banners have now been completely resolved.

The iFrame issue with the banners has now been removed and bet365 are now serving HTML using an image instead.

Please contact me directly if you have any questions.

    Thanks
