Default H1, H2, H3 Tag Correct Optimisation in 2020 for an Online Casino Review

Hello guys and happy New Year to all!

I can see some of top affiliate sites don't write a casino name in their h2 and h3 titles.

They simply go like in the example below:

    • H1 Y Casino Review
    • H2 Welcome bonuses
    • H2 Terms&Conditions
    • H2 Games
    • H2 Payment and Withdrawal options
    • H2 Contact information

But many other affiliates including me add in titles the name of that casino as well:
    • H1 Y Casino Review
    • H2 Y Casino Welcome bonuses
    • H2 Y Casino terms&conditions
    • H2 Y Casino games
    • h2 Y Casino Payment and Withdrawal options
    • h2 Y Casino contact information

From one hand, it is Y casino review and all the paragraphs on that page are about Y casino and there is no need to repeat the casino name in titles again, and also it looks spammy.

From other hand, if someone searches for "Y casino games", google will show only those pages where this keyword is mentioned.

I know for sure that if an authoritative site uses the review structure of the 2nd example - nothing wrong will happen.
With a new site is completely opposite.

Please share your ideas and thoughts!

what you are talking about is semantic, hierarchical markup.

    if h1 = SOME CASINONAME
    and h2 = bonus information

since h2 is a subsection of the h1, the h2 is interpreted as "the bonus information for CASINONAME", so there is no need to duplicate casino name in the h2, as it is implied (by the headings hierarchy) .. so the 1st example is the RIGHT WAY to do it!

    - the fact that some people don't use it stems from ignorance.
    - you will not get punished for this ignorance though as google claims to be smart to this stuff... in fact even a h1 (an essential (according to web-standards, the w3c) is not required

What i mean exactly is that as looking at my Betsafe Casino review all the h2, h3 can be written without using the casino name.

So i want to find out is - which option is better - to go without repeating the casino name or repeat and why?!

There is no right answer (you already got a great answer above) but you are at risk of triggering a filter for overoptimizing/keyword stuffing.

option 1, like I told you with explanation above.
MJM is 100% correct here too.... one could maybe also suppose that a new site is more prone to over-optimisation penalties

Clearly betsafe guys have no idea what they are doing onpage... another example of merchants leaving plenty of food on the table for affiliates...

As my site is only 2 years old - over-optimization is my biggest worry! This is what I said earlier that high authority sites can stuff in more keywords but if a new site will do the same - a position out of SERP guaranteed!

I just looked at how reviews are written on other niches regarding audio and video tech. In general, they don't repeat their main title keywords in h2, h3 at all but use the necessary keywords in their paragraphs.

Sigh... Just done it similarly on my Betsafe page with leaving some here and there. Will let know on the next week if I see any positive changes in ranking.

Any project on WIX should be shut down and moved elsewhere. Spending more time on it is just a waste of said time.

I think you used "Betsafe Casino" a lot, you should check for long tails that can be used in combination with "Betsafe"

And yes, as said earlier, there is no correct answer, I have totally different headings structure across one site and all of them rank well.
