Default Betting Partners: no other payment methods except BitCoins !

We have received an email today from Betting Partners:

    ...........

    Dear affiliate,

We’d like to inform you that we have now added Bitcoin as a Payment Method to your Betting Partners account and is ready to be selected. As mentioned in the first email, effective June 1, 2016, we will be moving all Betting Partners affiliate payments over to Bitcoin.
Bitcoin will be the only payment method available moving forward, no other payment methods will be supported as of June 1st 2016 – Including Player Account Transfer.

    Betting Partners
    .............

Really, I don't know if Betting Partners want's seriously to loose traffic ! There are so many affiliates around, who don't use BitCoin wallets as payment option.
More over, if that particular payment method is ONE WAY solution !

    Let's see .....

Yea I think so too, it's fine adding bitcoin but you must also give at least one alternative currency...

Bitcoin has sense only when there is no other option left. So apparently it was the only option left. I think most people do not realize we are not in year 2000 or 2010. We already live in banking dystopia, where we it is impossible to move freely anything but small amounts. No wonder that the smaller affiliates usually complain about bitcoin more than the bigger ones. Moving money now really is tough. Anybody who is partnering with any US affiliates knew that this is about offshore banking, tax paradises etc. Offshore banking industry was now hit hard. I am grateful that things go so well so far.

There are so many affiliates around
    Really?

Even when it is irrelevant I can not say I am upset. I was cashing roughly last 6 months from bp via bitcoin (because they were owning me money). The larger payments from March/April appreciated by 50%, the payout from 14 days ago by 20%.

I agree. Nothing against bitcoins, but it seems a predatory - not ethical attitude. If someone at Betting Partners is looking at this post, please give us an answer.

If you really want a honest answer ask them in private. Not everything can be told on public forums, especially when we are considered being criminals. I am personally sick when good affiliate programs are called unethical, when I feel they actually try to work for us (or at least me).

It is not different than with children or anyboday else. Call them unethical, over and over again and ruin their reputation. Then it will have value for them to be really unethical. This is what scares me about forums. This is also why we do not see many AM talking here. They are always attacked. It does not matter if they tell bullshit or they try. All the time it seems they are equally attacked. It is totally perfect to be hypercritical to yourself or to your employees or family, but here it is about their reputation.

Everybody knows how they paid us until now. I guess now it does not matter to talk about it. Offshore companies in the middle of nowhere with crazy names. In different currencies than USD. Even ewallets that are used to gambling closed their accounts long time ago. Esp. Bovada is the biggest US bookie in terms of traffic and the owner is one of the most wanted people on the planet. They keep going. They keep paying us. This is partnership.

If one day they close all accounts and say: "Hey, we can not do this anymore." I will trust them and say: "Yeah, gl, it was fun. Take care".

You are from Italy (I guess). Your banking and financial regulation is complete ****. I guess you should understand what is going on. I hope I am not overly aggressive against you. That is not my intention. But it is so obvious what is going on now with banks. Maybe you have other solutions, but if I had lived in Europe or even worse in Italy, I would have been requesting only bitcoin payments from everybody (I know you said nothing against bitcoins).

my guess is they crunched the numbers before deciding to go the bitcoin route.

With due respect, I think you should take it easy .. I have not called anyone 'criminal'.. and personally i don't know 'how they paid us until now', but that is not important. You are right, in Italy the banking system (along with governments) suck, but that not exclude that i, or someone else, would prefer to withdraw via e-wallet rather than only a complicate option like bitcoin (not everybody are familiar with them). This is different from saying that betting partners is a bad affiliate program, we are just talking about a payment option. Said that, now i perfectly understood the reason of such move.

Yes, I am aware you did not call anyone criminal!

The problem is that US thinks that not only bettingpartners but also we - their affiliates - are criminals. And when we are taken as criminals, their focus is to forbid us to use the US - now monopolised - banking system. Because USA now control the money flows everywhere. That is what I meant.

Yeah not so happy about this, and now i'm going to spend the best part of my morning to understand more about Bitcoin (I'm the first to admit I don't know much at all) getting set up to get my commissions eventually.

As I say, i'm new to it but there's been some good threads here at GPWA recently, that are coming in handy.

BP isn't one of my biggest accounts by far, but still annoying that there is no other option

Try this: https://www.gpwa.org/forum/bitcoin-o...at-227350.html (This thread is double)
You are the lucky one if you are in Malta. There should be Bitcoin friendly banks. PM me if you want detail and test it. I would be interested myself how it works there, since I have to travel there soon.

Thank you - most helpful. I am in Malta and I'll let you know how I find it, I keep putting all of this off, but it has to be done!

There is nothing like that like a btc exchange and a bank allinone (yeah would be great). I was talking about a bank that should have no problem with deposits from exchanges.

It is still far away such a project you want. But interesting is for example this: https://www.bitstamp.net/article/bit...urusd-trading/
Some forex sites trade bitcoins too. I would not be upset if the bitcoin exchanges would be called forex exchanges! It sounds different when dealing with due diligence in banks.

In an Ideal world a bank that exchanges instantly to Euros would allow minimal variance in the price, I have no problems exchanging then writing up a ticket for the taxman however an instant deposit option would definitely increase the usage especially with the naysayers

If such bank will ever exist, it will not be in EU for sure. I was thinking it can be a good project. Charge like 0.5% from turnover, accept just clean bitcoins. There are projects like this https://nb.vu/ but it is probably scam.

Until real crisis happens those banks will not exist. Fidorbank in Germany tried exactly for that, but stopped. They are still good for BTC transfers I guess in DE and GB, but Bitcoin bank is too much for regulators. If only one reason has to be said why it is hard to imagine, then it is because the regulators of banks are usually central banks. And central banks are also fiat issuers. They will not help with destruction of their own power.

Has anyone already been paid? Their website states:
"***We have begun JULY's commission run and will be processing BTC payments no later than the 15th of August.***"
...but I didn't receive the BTC payment yet.

I got payment like 3 days ago. The amount was little bit short (like by 3%). I asked about it and was promised to be paid next month or this month to a new address. I chose to be paid during next month with next payment.

My guess is that they might have problems with money processors or there are still ripples of bitfinex hack. But with bitcoin, there are always opportunities to buy. If not unlicenced Chinese exchanges, then Russian btc-e.com exchange with bank in Mongolia is a sure bet.

Ofc I am just guessing, but they probably use the money processors, so they do not handle the btc, because it is simpler. In future US bookies will have to actually buy and hold large sums of bitcoins. Hopefully their pockets will be filled with bitcoins too. Bovada offers ongoing 100% bonuses for btc. It is a killer offer (I hope not too good).

The 2016-17 football season is finally here! To celebrate, our Bodog and Bovada partner brands are getting players back in on the NFL and NCAA action with new creative assets and a very generous Kickoff Bonus: 100% deposit bonus up to $250.

The offer starts on August 22 and is redeemable only once via credit card, but if players deposit using Bitcoin they can claim it an unlimited number of times! The most popular digital currency available allows players to make deposits and withdrawals quickly, safely and reliably.

I'm confident that the US market will shift to bitcoin over the next 18-24 months, players and affiliates... It's not getting any easier for processing in the market, and bitcoin is becoming more relevant, it needs to keep growing, but all signs are pointing to this.
