There are many more from not so well-known sources, but there is no need to post them all.

If you have not noticed, my search engine is pretty much a fancy link exchange, and last time I checked link exchanges were conducted mostly through e-mail, with one party finding the other's e-mail address and then requesting an exchange, that is exactly what I have been doing and have been accused of spamming. Do you accuse everyone that e-mails you a link exchange request of spamming?

I apologize for a few things I said during the heat of the moment that were out of line and would like to whipe the slate clean, because somehow I've gotten labeled as the bad guy, when I've done alot to help the gambling webmaster community (I know someone will say "what have you done" so I'll just say it now: I'm referring to my affiliate programs/webmaster resource website, and if you search back on the freshman forum a little, you will find quite a few people state how much it has helped them develop their portals).

It may interest you further, Kristopher, that both of those casinos have private forums here that only admitted GPWA members and the casinos have access to.

No one here is doubting the benefits of link exchange - we all do it, PLUS a private traffic exchange.

We all email for link exchanges, also - but we only do it once. Link exchanging should be a voluntary exchange between webmasters. Repeated emailings from the same webmaster do constitute spam, tho.

There have a been a lot of hard feelings created here, and they may be irreparable. Since we're a democratic association, and prospective members are voted on, in the case of objections, there may be a problem here. But it's not for me, or any one webmaster, to decide.

I'm not asking for you to re-process my application for membership, that does not matter much to me. What does matter however, is the fact that some webmaster may choose to not exchange links with me based on the feeling that I'm a gpwa "enemy". I'm simply asking to not be labeled as the bad guy, nothing more.

The people represented here are intelligent and quite capable of making their own judgements in regards to your actions and postings.

They dont need to be "lead" to a conclusion as to whether you are a good guy or not.

A good rule of thumb is to reread your posts three or more times and think about who may view it before you hit the submit button. This may alleviate some of the "image" problems you have created for yourself in the future.

We also are pretty damned loyal to each other - you hurt one, you hurt us all. But every webmaster makes their own choices.

(We're also incredibly loyal to the casinos that treat us right!! )

Ok, time that I have my say.... I intentionaly did not post to this discussion because I did not want to come across as a "dictator Moderator" *note the rhyme*

You did get my email saying that I removed you from my listings. I did this, not because I received the same email 7 times from you ie. spam, but because of the arrogance you showed to my friends here and the ignorance you showed to the whole portal community. Another reason I deleted your link was that if you carried on showing the arrogance that you did, was that there would definately be enough complaints about you (eg. to your isp) that eventually you would lose all credibility and maybe even get banned from the engines. We all know that linking to a banned site does nothing for your rankings.

I do feel though that since you appear to want to change your ways in approaching the group and you have apologised, I for one will definately give you a second chance... I mean - who hasn't tried the "direct" approach before?

That said... If you feel that you can seriously contribute and if you are willing to learn from everybody here, please send me a note, and I will have your link back up.

Finally .. I wish you good luck with you site and hope that it becomes the success that you are hoping for.

I, for one, was not insulting you. Simply giving you some pointers for the future from someone who's learned the hard way. You seem to need them.

You also seem to be confused as to why anyone here would have a problem with you. Perhaps it could be that many of us own a number of sites on that member list. Therefore for every site we recieved a piece of mail. I myself am glad I dont own 100 like Krystall :LOL:

Actually, webmasters do take kindly to the e-mail I've sent, I've sent e-mails to gpwa members in addition to portal webmasters that are not gpwa, and I've received quite a few e-mails of congrats, and over 80 webmasters have added their websites. So far I've received 1 complaint via e-mail (in german, go figure), and these two jealous children on this forum. Three out of 500+ makes me only come to the conclusion that these people just need to vent their frustrations, and have chosen to take it out on me. If my single e-mail and forum post bothers you so much... if it's such a painful task to press the delete key on your keyboard... you have serious issues that you need to resolve. Maybe they are just compulsive gamblers trying to make money to support their habits. I don't know, nor do I care, all I ask is that you act like the business men/women you are supposed to be and quit whining about really NOTHING AT ALL. Cindy, at the top of every page in the gpwa forums there is a link labeled "Memberlist" you do the math. As for my application... delete it, I only wanted to be a member because gpwa members are my target audience for my casino affiliate programs website. I'm in this business to make money, not sit around chatting and sharing secrets with my competitors, thats the recipe for failure

Just in case you haven't looked at our member portals page at our site, there are some VERY successful portals here that are admitted members.

Our sitting around "chatting and sharing secrets" is SO successful, and increases SO many webmasters' income, you couldn't even begin to believe it, and the good casinos *love* working with us because of it. You let us know your opinion of our association right there, with that statement.

Boy, there are a lot of wise words spoken here that I for one have learned from; or at least will try to remember.

I also thought I would add that when you email someone to exchange links; although it's not written in stone; it is customary to do so on a 1 on 1 basis. Not in a bulk mailing.

This forum has saved me lots; and I know it has saved others much. From the testing we do for accurate stats which exposes dead weight sponsors; to baracus' (I know its probably spelled wrong) exclusively made banners that he makes available to members; there is much, much more than just chatting.

It is possible to have fun and be constructive at the same time.

If you think that is BS, you are sadly mistaken. I contacted DVS when we first met; made an outrageous demand; (my first letter to him although civil; was not the friendliest letter ever written).

Despite the above mentioned; DVS granted my request in a friendly manner; and when he did so; I mailed him back, and a long story shortened; I ended up with a knowledgeable mentor and I hope a friend.

What did he get in return? .......

one last thing, just a personal observation, but never apologize if you don't mean it. to quote Shakespeare (I think) , "above all else; be true to one's self".

I am still a newbie here, having been a member for only about 6 months, but in those 6 months I have learned that this is a First Class association, extremely well run and organized, and containing highly intelligent, well-spoke and creative members.

It is impressive to see people who, although essentially in competition with each other, openingly and willinglly share information for the betterment of individual members, while at the same time, joining forces for the overall benefit of the group.

It is my pleasure to be a member.
