Even though you can find a few successful claims against a state.

bet365 are commercial company and have far more responsibilities.

I share your sentiment about shady gambling operators who make one brand die and resurrect with another brand scamming old affiliates in the process.
I wouldn't put bet365 in that category.

bet365 are not one of many. Prior to 2025 they consistently proved that they are a serious responsible company. They won numerous awards and rightly so.
However, this was prior to 2025. Now, in October 2025 they officially turned shady overnight by drastically changing T&C, terminating inactive affiliates, refusing to honor life-time commission promise and stripping active affiliates of life-time commissions expectation.

All their hard work, awards and glowing reviews they received etc are no longer valid.
This does not belong to bet365 from October 1 and onwards.

bet365 has the NEW affiliate program now - it is now in the category "Use it at your own risk!" or "You are now forced to use it, because you are tied"

Not looking at the fact that such incidents are a common practice in gambling industry - this is NOT normal and should NOT be treated as something normal.

And to p1ss on the heads of those affiliates who were tricked by bet365 into exclusive promotion and eventually had all eggs in one basket is a bit wrong too.

Yeah, bet365 received much more trust than was necessary. Partially this was a problem of the victim, but only partially.

Great lesson anyway, hopefully one day more people reach your levels of enlightment.

I literally wrote here a very long post about monopoly of violence and how the state actions are very different to corporations. Because in short, the society is stable, because everyone is forced to believe that state/society is the ultimate peacekeeper while it is the ultimate bearer of truth and torturer.

I deleted it, because it makes no sense to write anything to this madness. Also - as fan of Snowcrash - I am not sure whether we are not already in the stage of Franchise States, where we blindly trust to corporations, while they already have the oligopoly for violence.

I don’t think it’s fair to mock people who entered into a contract that one party — and it’s not them — stopped honoring.
Those people didn’t send traffic just for fun or out of goodwill — they did it under agreed terms.
And now someone is unilaterally changing those terms and expects everyone to just accept it.
Sure, many probably will; a lot of people think they can solve something by complaining on a forum, but that’s still no reason to laugh at them or tell them to go get a job.

In real business, agreements are meant to be honored — not made and then abandoned when they become inconvenient for one side.
But we’ve known this for a few thousand years already.

Check out Cicero’s De Officiis (44 B.C.) — he talks about fides, the duty to keep one’s word and fulfill agreements (“nothing is more contrary to human society than deceit”). That’s basically where the idea behind pacta sunt servanda starts.

And then the Digest (D 2.14.13.1):

“Et ideo servandum erit pactum conventum.”
(“And therefore the agreement that was made must be observed.”)

That’s one of the earliest legal formulations of pacta sunt servanda - "agreements must be kept" or "contracts must be honored."

The point is this: even in the terms and conditions of previous years, there are no places where lifetime earnings are listed for each player. This acronym was listed in the old version of the bet365 affiliate website, and until a few months ago, perhaps even in the current version, but be careful, not in the terms and conditions. In the event of a dispute or legal action, they will certainly take into consideration clause 7.2 of the terms and conditions, which states that "Upon termination, we shall have no liability to pay you any future referral commissions." In this case, the right ceases upon termination, even if the site says "lifetime commissions." Lifetime customer is just a marketing phrase and has no legal value, unfortunately, as it is not written anywhere in the terms and conditions.

All words have legal value if used in the advertising of something.
It's called 'false advertising'.

I just checked the internet archive again, all old saves of bet365partners.com and bet365affiliates.com have been removed!

Bet365 obviously applied to the archive to get those pages removed, soemthing which i didn't realise
was possible but apparently is.

Proof that:
A) They are completely fu*king rogue at this point.

B) They are watching this thread carefully.

C) They were worried enough about the proof contained in the internet archive
causing them legal issues.

Wow. I hope beyond hope that someone saved those pages, cos that is basically
evidence wiped out now.

... do you know if "false advertising" is indictable in Malta, Gibraltar or whereever the actually Juristriction for each partner is?
... and if an affiliate claims, he is showing the typical "Best Casinos for UK Players in 2025 ..." - is it false advertising or marketing.
... and what defines the lifetime in the claim "lifetime commission". Product lifetime? Player lifetime? Lifetime of the cat of the CMO?

The only one of your things which is in anyw ay valid is the legal definition of 'lifetime commission'.
That would have to be chewed over in a court of law.

The rest is irrelevant.
There was no disclaimer in the T&Cs about lifetime revenue.

People have already stated, you can't legally have a T&Cs, but also have a clause in the
T&Cs which says "We can change these T&Cs at any time". it renders the whole thing
pointless and is legally laughable.

Their behaviour in going to the Internet Archive and getting everything deleted just shows
what snakes they are and that this is indeed a war on affiliates now.

I'm not sure what your point is tbh.

My stance on the matter overall is, I have no real appetite personally for legal action, but I can understand if others feel the need to go that way.
If I had a billion I'd probably chip in to a legal action, but again I can now see why people wouldn't really want that hassle and negativity into their lives, I feel the same tbh.

I can see that Bet365 have falsely advertised 'lifetime commission', at least by not defining it which in itself can then mislead people to what it can mean. That is in advertising law in the UK. The fact they've gone to the webarchive to get old web pages deleted shows they know they could be in trouble.

Personally, I think people who were no longer able to promote bet365 back in 2018, but got paid until 2025 have actually had a really good deal out of it all! Most affiliate programs would have got rid of them completely in 2018, job done, millions of £ saved.

And that is probably the first point. I'm pretty much sure not Bet365 as a UK company has falsely advertised.
But an offshore (Malta, Gibraltar) marketing related daughter which is dealing with the affiliate stuff.
And this differs by origin of the particular partner.

So if you think you sue Bet365 as a UK company who is looking for there great reputation etc etc, think again.

Lawyer would say more, but this is not how it works. A dependent company, which is made for one sole purpose while supporting the mother, is not taken as a separated entity. Mothers are normally sued in analogous situations.

In the UK, there are several authorities to which situations of deceptive commercial practices can be reported, such as the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

All useless sucking from the taxpayers money. Back in 2017 people here from the UK were showing reports to the UKGC, to the ASA and to one more organization which name I cannot recall. Each one of these was pointing towards the others claiming it wasn’t their responsibility.

If the Skybet threads are still around you can dig what’s been tried.

Ofc they do. Their CS was always chronically slow and somewhat "reserved". But I always resolved a problem with Bet365 after I wrote about it to GPWA forum, this is why I praised them in the end. It was not only that they were good, but as a feedback that I felt was my payment for the resolution of problem (nothing wrong with that IMO).

IIRC my first post on this forum was when I could not resolve some problem with Bet365. I resolved it. GPWA worked, so I stayed here and always used GPWA channel in problems. The same way it works with 1xbet for example.
