A Bet365 affiliate stealing content

Hi,

Over the last month it has come to my attention that somebody has payed to join my premium tipping service and has been reselling the tips. They are not even trying to pass them off as their own but using the fact that they are selling mine and some other premium tipsters tips as a package as their usp.

I would love to be able to just find out who this person is and deny them the access to my tips however with over 1000 paid up members this has proved impossible.

In the last day or so this person has now become a Bet365 affiliate and this is where I'm hoping I can get some justice! I wanted to know if Bet365 is happy to have someone who steals content working with them as an affiliate? This is all happening on social media btw, as far as I'm aware he doesn't have a website. Not that this should make a difference right? My tips are not published on social media for everyone to view they are published in a private members group and people are told when they join that these tips are for their personal use and not for resale.

I'd like to know what others think about this and if their is anyone at Bet365 who could help me with this? I do things the right way, I spend time and money creating my tips/content so why should someone else get away with stealing this?

I am pretty sure that if you can back up the above with evidence, Bet365 will do the right thing. How disgusting it is that some people will sink to these levels to make a bit of cash. Good Luck with this. In my previous role as an Affiliate, Bet365 have always managed to do the right thing.

These resellers are all over the internet!

Obviously what they are doing is wrong, but bet365 won't be able to help you. Afterall, they have entered a contract with the person.

Why don't you find out if you can subscribe to their service, and at least get the payment details. Add a waiver on your site, that by entering this section you are agreeing that it's copyright infringement to pass or sell these paid tips to a third party!

At least you could pass on details to skrill/neteller and tell these people you will pursue them through the courts and payment processors! If you have 1000 subscribers you must be selling your tips on the cheap - which at least means they will find it hard to undercut the price!

If they are literally copying and pasting a big wall of text you could insert a unique string somewhere in there and match it up with what's posted on their facebook page. It takes a bit of effort but you can at least work out who is doing it.

Yeah it's not that easy, I post all my tips on a protected Twitter account. They have obviously paid for access to it and have created this other account to advertise that they are selling my tips and then it works the same that when someone pays them they get access to their private Twitter page. I have tried to join them from my personal account so I could get the payment details from them and then match it to someone on my page but the details don't match so they have obviously used a different name/paypal account. I've spent weeks trying ot work out a way of catching them out and it's just not possible.

I was hoping that maybe Bet365 wouldn't tolerate this kind of theft and would protect affiliates who do things the right way but as someone said a minute ago they probably won't be able to do anything. It's very frustrating because this thief is actually contacting anyone that they see expressing an interest in my service and trying to actually poach them before they join my service. It's not just me they are selling tips of ten premium tipsters in total, I have been in touch with some of the others and we have tried matching up names who subscribe to all our services but nothing works so they must have a fair few Twitter accounts they are using

I am not defending this bloke, but how can you prove the tips came from you?

No I'm not referring to him and I can prove they came from me because A. He is advertising that he is selling my tips and B. He is screen shotting my tips that I post in my private group and posting the screen shots in his private group. This is his whole selling point that he is paying for a load of premium tipsters tips and then reselling them all in one place for one price

It could also be a paid subscriber is giving away or sharing the tips with someone who then turns around and re-uses them.

I am not saying this would be right either, but might make it more difficult to figure out who is doing it.

The suggestion of the unique text might help....
