    Default 5dimes tracking

Is it just me or anyone else sees it as well... but I do not see affiliate cookie in the link.

Before their landing page was at 5dimes.eu, now it is 5d.com. But without affiliate cookie.

They have changed something, not sure what, but I know how to fix it. Everyone should do the same.

It seems they changed affiliates.5dimes.com to https://affiliates.5dimes.eu. Both affiliates links (incl banners) and affiliate access has to be edited.

The former subdomain seems to be working, but they did not extend the certificate, so users get an error.

I tried to tell them what is going on, but they ... are ... not listening enough.

Also be aware of linkbuilder from the affiliate interface. It is still producing invalid links. You have to edit it as described above.

    The NFL starts today.

Thank you. As you say, their links were not working, at least not on firefox and I didn't hang about to test other browsers before changing the link as you described. I assume that as long as the cookie named affiliatecode is dropped then it is safe to believe the tracking is working?

    I just tried to access a text link from affiliates.5dimes.eu and with https://affiliates.5dimes.com in the tracking code and receive;

Your connection is not secure. SSL security error...any thoughts?

    Thx

P.S - I couldn't find our affiliate tracking code in the current link we are using. Horrible.

Change .com to .eu as Sherlock mentioned, it'll link through ok, I trust it tracks - it drops a cookie (affiliatecode)

Yes. We tested it (the tracking). It works from .eu.

I have sent them another email that they have to pay for SSL certificate. They have redirection from .com to .eu, but did not pay for https.

Please everyone affected send them email that they have to pay for the certificate (I think Tony's email at gm@5xxxs.com is still working as well). Maybe they will wake up this way, but I am not sure if affiliates work today. Even if we replace the links, there can be something that I am missing.

They just responded that they look at it, so they work. But I have doubts they do it with the urgency needed.

Do not get me wrong, I am fine with 5dimes, because they can be trusted unlike most scams.

But affiliate manager that responded "I have told you not to use .com" domain - who neither understands what is SSL nor can imagine the disaster because did not tell to all other affiliates about the change or the domain & they did not set the redirection correctly - should really do a better job.

Thanks for this post! I'm updating links. Sincerely much appreciated!

I would have been nice to get this communication from the aff team there.

Ridiculous that any traffic I sent there this weekend (only one of the busiest, mind you) got a 'not trusted connection' landing page. I bet that's great for conversions.

I think the affiliate managers are just regular customer service operators...

5dimes marketing managers manage the affiliate program but even though they have a large affiliate presence this they don't see as their main income or as high value players than the ones coming through from agents.
