Yes, tweets are adding considerably to the online chatter. It is so much harder to stand out from the crowd because 'the crowd' has become millions of people. Anyone with a computer can call themselves a blogger or 'journalist'.

Just like poker, mahjong has several versions. the version of mahjong played in akagi is more japanese style or [URL="http://1189cn.com/riichi-mahjong-rcr-f14.html"]riichi style mahjong[/URL]. There are hong kong style, chinese official, european and american rules. there are actually more variants. But I believe outside of the US, hong kong and riichi styles are the most popular.

The akagi series is really good, although I only went through one of them. I am now getting more and more interested in this game.

Hey Nandakishore. I was in a similar position a few months ago. It was a choice between mahjong, gin rummy or pot limit omaha.

i ended up learning mahjong from scratch and really fell in love with the game. i still dont think it has the subtle beauty of nl holdem but its still quite interesting and has a strong skill element.

i ended loving it so much that i started a whole new [URL="http://1189cn.com"]mahjong forum[/URL] to try making some money promoting it. bbbbbut i can give you the honest coment that the online mahjong world is no where near as well organised as the online poker world. I think that none of online mahjong sites have quite hit critical mass. so you have a couple of of online mahjong sites that have only a small active community of players. still it is a hugely popular game in asia, so perhaps in the long run there is still market opportunity.

Mahjong is brilliant, highly addictive and by all accounts loved immensely by the Asians, i would love to get in on this game big time on the internet but i cannot help thinking that the target market is Asia and marketing to that demographic sector would be very difficult indeed.

I am wondering now if a sportsbook has it as a game, i played it a lot on gamesduell and so it is certainly out there.

suppose a starting point would be to see what sportsbook do offer it as a game and see if i can somehow link to it/integrate it etc.
