Poker pros get laptops tampered with during EPT Barcelona

[gaffg]

A few professional poker players were at the EPT Barcelona poker tournament and were fortunate to be able to catch some unusual activity happening in their rooms and with their laptops. Some of the players busted early in the tournaments and went back to their rooms to find their keys not working. The summary of the story is that the poker players believe their laptops were hacked with possible trojans. All the security cameras that would have caught the people breaking in appear to have been not working. The lack of cooperation with the Hotel Arts Barcelona has many players in the twoplustwo poker community thinking the hotel staff may have aided the criminal activity.

You can read the original thread by user Jeans from twoplustwo who accounts his experience during the poker tournament and his frustration at the lack of cooperation with the hotel staff and the poor security.

Now the hotel is getting the negative publicity that is surely going to cost the company money with negative reviews about the incident being posted. The hotel may never be able to shake off this new reputation.
