Don’t throw money down the drain!
Don’t throw money down the drain!
As a long time experienced poker player it’s hard to view many books that hit the new stands and book stores these days. Many new author or players have a fascination over the top known poker players and try to impersonate them, be your own person and stand under your own merit. Don’t try to be the next Doyle Bronson or Mike Caro, develop your own unique writing style and be proud to sign your name. Cuss I’m tired of throwing my money down the drain to the same old material that I read over and over.
My suggestion to a player that is really looking for a out of box solution for improving their poker skills, is to bury your mind and sole in strategy books that relate poker to past war battles and every day life trends. These type master pieces will keep your interest past the first chapter. You would ask”How would these type books improve my play?”, they are teaching tools in out flanking your opponent next move and as well as reading his next play back at you. We all know how important these strategies are in the skill game of poker.
I have been at the tables with very successful pro-players that won’t use odds as the normal player does to make their important and crucial decisions, they put to work these out of this world advanced strategies that only a brilliant mind that can see in 360-degrees. Don’t be narrowed minded, as we all know we will all be students of life and poker for many more years to come.
