What bank do you use and is Igaming "friendly"

Recently, I have been searching for a new bank.
What banking options do you use that are OK with iGaming-related businesses?
Currently, I use Revolut, but I saw in their terms that they are against gaming-related businesses, so I wanted to change.

For example if you are living in the UK and run your business there (or remotely), you can go for any high street bank and declare your business as on-line marketing, never i-gaming, e-gaming, etc. Our business is related with i-gaming, but we just render services (like promotion) to iGaming companies (operators). PS: Revolut, Wise, etc. are not good options—they may block / suspend your account overnight, and you will be in trouble.

I was just checking out Bankera. The Trustpilot reviews are really, really bad. I'd be interested to know if you've used them for many transactions and how it went for you. What level of funds from betting companies, any from crypto exchanges? Many reviewers suggest Bankera are a nightmare to onboard, charge to do it (which no other 'bank' does) and then suspends the account whenever a payment arrives. Obviously I don't take everything as gospel on Trustpilot, but generally it's the great reviews of a company that are fake and the bad ones closer to the truth. They certainly have a lot of terrible ones.

If you are from the EU/UK area, and have well-documented income (transfers) then there should be no problem. It is important to remember that nowadays every financial institution, including EMIs and banks are obliged by law to carry out AML/KYC and reporting.

Fact is, Bankera is not cheap, I speak from experience. So for me a regular bank is the best and cheapest option.

Think outside the box.

Many crypto wallet services offer an IBAN on the side. For example, I got MT (SEPA, OpenPayd) and GB (SWIFT, Royal Bank of Scotland) IBANs on my Nexo account. You receive toy money equivalent, EURx, USDx or GBPx.

I'd steer away from all traditional banks as well as banking services such as Revolut and Bankera for the reasons quoted above.

IBAN is just a formality, to receive payments from regulated brands that don't do crypto.

I am in Canada and been using TD Bank for 20 years and they allow Coinsquare transfers into their bank so never issues with crypto conversions.

I’m also currently using Revolut and, so far, I haven’t run into any issues with iGaming-related transactions, though I just use it for business payments and not as a dedicated gaming merchant account. It seems enforcement can be inconsistent – some people have restrictions or even account closure, while others (like me so far) have no issues. Would be useful to know if anyone has received a formal warning or if problems only arise after larger transactions or specific compliance checks. Anyone else here had direct communication from Revolut about this?

This!!! The problem is affiliates assume EVERYONE has common sense, and go to the bank and blur out the G word thinking "Hey they are a smart bunch of people, they know I'm a promoter, and no actual gambling happens on my website, therefore I'm an advertiser or a journalist". WRONG

The moment they hear Gambling, they think you are the bookie, a loan shark, a money launderer you name it and no further discussion will change that.

Unicredit, ING, pick one bank and never mention igaming.

Unicredit was particularly friendly when bet365 payments were handled by (the now defunct) YMGlory, and they were sending money from Panama, and at one point they even sent money from some really shady island - that was the moment when I expected my bank to call me. But they didn't.

The paradox of the whole situation is that, for example, a provider of internet, water, electricity or other utilities to companies in the sector from iGaming, Gambling, etc. somehow does not have a problem with the banks when it receives payment from those “bad guys” from the gambling world. I totally agree with you on that. It’s kind of funny how banks can block withdrawals from online casinos, saying it’s “gambling-related”, but at the same time they’re absolutely fine when it comes to taking money for bills, taxes, or anything else.
From what I’ve seen in the UK, it’s pretty much the same story. Some banks are super strict with gambling transactions, and sometimes they just freeze the payment for “security reasons”. But when you actually need to withdraw your own winnings, it suddenly becomes a whole process. So yeah, I get your point — they’re quick to take money, but not so quick to let you take yours.

Curious what others do for influencer/streamer payouts specifically - that's a different beast from regular affiliate settlements. I know some agencies like Uberman Agency handle this as part of their streamer management setup but haven't dug into how exactly they structure the payment layer. Disagree, a streamer or influencer is just an affiliate being paid for traffic like any other publisher. One thing that appears to be different is that a much higher percentage use CPA instead of revshare and some operators do think their is greater risk from those who call themselves influencers.

I think the other issue for streamers / influencers is that usually there is no attempt to follow responsible gambling guidelines

Locally here the focus of gambling promotional enforcement has been on the influencer / streamers on social media.

Revolut is horrible for iGaming. Wise also. Explicitly against their T&C's. Won't last long term and will eventually ask for more and more info about any "risky" transactions. That's from personal experience and from what I've heard from others.

I'd recommend some of the Cyprus based EMI's that are openly iGaming friendly. There are multiple and as long as your business is legitimate should have no-issues onboarding you.
