Default PokerStars asks New Jersey regulators for permission to buy Atlantic City casino

PokerStars is officially trying to buy its way back into the U.S. market. They've applied to New Jersey regulators to get permission to buy the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

New Jersey regulators are among the strictest in the world, so PokerStars big settlement with the DOJ might prove to be an issue. The other sticking point that might come up is if Gov. Chris Christie vetoes the online gaming legislation passed by the New Jersey Legislature.

fwiw, the general sense of people seems to be:

    a) Christie will sign
    b) Regulators will sign off on Stars

Won't have to wait too long to find out. Christie has until Feb 7th to act and I think the maximum length of the approval process for Stars' application is 120 days.
