Default guys, please help an old man figure this out :)

Hello from the old man who doesn't own crypto

I had to send someone xxx USDT, so, like any other normal human being, I went to Binance to deposit the money, buy usdt, send it via Tron to the recipient (as I did in the past, a long time ago).

However, since I am living in the over-f@#$ing regulated European Union, I cannot buy USDT anymore, at least not on Binance.

That I found out after I made the deposit. Now, my recipient only accepts USDT via TRON. What can I do in this situation?

One option would be Trust Wallet, another option would be a swap exchange, but since I have no idea what I am talking about, I think the safe thing is to ask here.

Please help me out and thanks a lot!

His system works only with usdt on tron. I am working with him for some time now, but via an US provider who suddenly decided to add more fees (in my case over 50%), so crypto was the alternative.

I went ahead and used Trust Wallet, and managed to send the money. Learned a few things today

Not all EU regulations are bad, but this time they just made me spend a bit more than it was planned, and I doubt those money will ever touch the EU. So what's the point?

I use COINOMI TO GET usdt then they convert it from USDT To Bitcoin and I can send bitcoin , you cannot use it on a desktop casino to exchange it has to be done on the APP. I literally get it and get rid of it right away it is NOT a place to store anything of value.

Does he not even accept USDC on TRON? That's what I've done with my clients in the EU and I haven't had any problems; the exchange rate is almost 1 to 1.

trc20 USDT is usually a lot more harder to get and mistakes are easily made. you can swap pretty much any coin with letsexchange .io

USDT is unfortunately dead for EU citizens. At all platforms including.
Kraken, Binance is ERC20 USDC the way to go. Even

Same wallet address in my Ledger, ETH, USDC, USDT

Hello iso2009, I use crypto(dot)com and it has a lot of very helpful features. I use the app on my phone and I also have a physical card that I use at shopping centres. I can also sell crypto (BTC, USDT and CRO) and I can add them to my AUD account and then make a withdrawal to my bank account. The minimum withdrawal amount is $100 AUD.

You could consider buying USDC on Binance, as it’s generally still available under EU regulations, and then swapping it to USDT within Binance — internal conversions are usually free or have minimal fees. After that, you can withdraw the USDT via the TRON network to your recipient. Just make sure to double-check the network (TRC20) before confirming the transfer to avoid mistakes.

You're not the only one running into this – EU compliance rules (MiCA + exchange-level restrictions) have made direct USDT purchases more complicated on some platforms.
If your recipient strictly requires USDT on TRON (TRC20), you basically have a few clean options:
Binance USDC - sent to ByBit (NON EU) Regular swap to usdt or buy ledger and in mobile app you can still buy USDT

Just use USDC. No matter what chain. Also, funds can easily be bridged to any chain as well. Many ways to receive USDT on-chain and then convert it to USDC.

So plenty of options, however, not all of them are user friendly.

You are certainly not the only one puzzled by the recent EU restrictions on cryptocurrencies. Many people have encountered this same issue recently regarding USDT on centralized exchanges. If the recipient only accepts TRC-20, then using a wallet—such as Trust Wallet—or another exchange service is likely the simplest option; however, I would definitely start with a very small test transfer before sending the full amount.

Why not just install metamask, transfer any ERC coin to it, convert to what you need and send?
